Old generation abandoned

Obviously, EA isn’t going to dedicated much (if any) of their  time into fixing problems on the old systems. 

It’s a lost cause even complaining about it. The sooner you and anyone else still buying for old gen realize you shouldn’t waste your time/ money, the sooner they’ll quit producing the game for those systems.

because we bought a game they released on old gen. if they can update the content across all platforms then they can most definitely fix any lag across all platforms.

i think this is the last year madden is on old gen. it is a sad way for it to go out tho.

Your console is outdated by 3 years now. At some point everything becomes out of date and has to be upgraded. Definitely not an EA issue.

So the OP‘s only complaint was that they want the game to not take 2 minutes to load per screen like it did during initial purchase correct? They didn’t ask for the new gameplay, new Abilities, or anything else that current gen offers. How is that not an EA issue? All they are asking is that the game that EA advertised and sold them is playable.

Did you read the rest of my posts? I fully expect the menus will be fixed. I don't think that EA has abandoned support for older gen consoles. But I also think it's time to face the facts, temper expectations, and understand that eventually all tech things need to be upgraded. And if you want to play the game with full support, you should have a "next gen" console.

100% agree here, I think the menus will hopefully be fixed when season 3 comes out. And this will likely be the last year of Madden on oldgen, so anyone that wants to keep playing (or play the new EA Sports College Football) is gonna have to upgrade. It's just how tech works, nothing personal. I personally will be getting a series x when i can afford one.

I have no insider information. But I agree with your speculation as well.

Probably not a hot fix situation will be fixed or improved in next title update.

Yes I did read your other posts I just commented on your initial response that you provided to OP when their only concern was menu lag and  you stated that it was not an EA issue. I will gladly discuss your other posts too though.

I really hope that you are correct about them updating the menu lag with next TU but old gen users probably have little faith as they have not addressed the issue for nearly a month on social media nor updating you on the issue at any time. When I noted that the free MCS most feared card didn't have MF chem you were instantly able to reply to my post (thank you for that btw) that EA had contacted you all and let you all know that they were working on it. That was less than 20 minutes of the card releasing to us yet they haven't provided you with any information that you could share with us on the month long console issue right? Like I said I hope its fixed in next TU but have no reason to expect that as EA has not at all acknowledged the issue to the public as far as I know ( I def could have missed something though).

I also read your post comparing  old gens to your wife buying an older iphone. I 100 percent agree that no iphone 12 user should expect support crash detection but if Apple still sold the iphone 12 in their store I would assume it to still be able to make calls and texts without taking 2-3 minutes switching between the apps. 

I'm completely with you in the idea that old gen shouldn't expect any new gameplay or abilities and will likely be phased out after this year. My point was just that every thread I have read complaining about old gen understands that concept and  is only wanting to be able to play the game and sell cards/build sets without taking forever.

I hope it is. I play old gen on my series x with my buddies so it doesn't  really affect me much but my friends are miserable trying to adjust their team for our squad games lol.

I love madden/NFL season 1 was good, but season 2 is unplayable. I invested time and real coin just be stranded. I‘m not so much mad at the packs I bought, but the time I spent I grinding annoys me. 

Screens and lineup taking 2 minutes to load EVERYTHING makes a 30-45 minute process to do basic task. Plus squads match making taking 10 minutes, which is likely due to limited people dealing with loading BS. Old gen is dead.

The game has been out on current/new gen for 4 years now. might be time to move to current gen I was surprised EA still had madden on old gen this year.

EA should still try to patch the lag on old gen because people did buy the game on old gen and they should be able to play it. however I don’t believe EA will be making madden on old gen anymore after this year.

The flaw is saying the old gen is 3 years old like saying if I have an older home and buy a product for it that is made for it or a newer home, but said company decided to abandon supporting it in an older home that I should just buy a new home.
 

EA is that said company, they put out & sold a product to just abandon it leaving it as is. 
 

It is obvious EA is clueless to a solution & just decided that what should be a simple fix is not worth their time… don’t act like they’d jump to fix the same issue had it been on a current console.
 

EA has lacked customer service for years. The only time they jump to fix anything is if it benefits the customer in the slightest way.
 

As a MODERATOR… you’d think you’d have had a better reply than to side with this garage company like they remotely care for anybody but their internal community & be more for the community - just saying!
 

To each’s own tho & for the record I’m not some NOOB to EA & MUT… probably been around longer than 95%+ of the people on this site as well as having more dealing with EA & this game to include developers & such!

Bingo. Legend should know better. Madden 24 was sold as old gen compatible, people still running on old gen had EVERY right to expect the game to work properly.

And worse, unlike last year, your team is NOT transferrable to current gen consoles, so those of us suffering from the glacial menus can't even move our teams to a current console to resolve the issue.

This IS costing EA $. I stopped spending when the menu issue hit and they won't see a penny from me until resolved.

And for the insensitive, I have a current gen XBox Series S I bought a month after launch. But with lack of transferability I ain't starting from scratch to try and catch up.
