I've seen this topic a hundred times but still don't have a definitive answer. If I have a 90OVR player and put a 2nd position on him he plays the 2nd position with a lower OVR but when I look at his stats they are the same. Does he play like he has a lower OVR or according to his stats, which have him at the higher OVR?

No, he plays at his normal overall EA just hasn’t fixed it

They play normally. some people think it’s funny to how stat calculations work for different positions

For some reason players are lower insome positions or higher, but it’s funny how they’re lower when others are very similar
