You and me both man i hate them with a passion so this is very welcomed
This is great news. Power ups were a cool concept, but were just a straight up coin sink 99% of the time. Not to mention I'm sure it added a lot of work for the developers since they had to constantly make new PU cards for all the elites that were released, but then you'd have a guy with his highest overall card being 86 with a PU and never getting any other upgrades, so you had all this work put into these cards that no one was using.
-So were getting a battle pass (but its free?)
-way less PUP action which is great (there are downsides where you can have someone else up to the highest point till they lower in price which is what I did a lot)
-REALLY good team captains (allen the "worst" but only because hes 5 10, 185 ish)
seems like a great turn around
Power Ups seemed cool at first but they ended up being more trouble than they were worth. I'm glad they are keeping some of the positives from PU's and putting them directly on items, like switching team chem, secondary positions, etc.

They say "most elites" can swap team chem, and RG made it sound like the 82 Headliners couldn't switch team chem. If only certain OVR elites get the ability, I'm thinking it might be higher than the 82's.
This sounds good in theory, but if it means that players lower than a specific OVR are locked to the team they're on currently with no way of switching, I feel like it could just blow up in their faces. Every Elite player should have team chemistry for EVERY team they've played a Regular/Postseason snap with in their career, not restricting it to OVRs, and not giving the lower guys Power-Ups because they're lazy.
