EA has created this mindset because they give fewer & fewer rewards for playing their game unfortunately. And I'm not participating in the event nor excusing people gaming the system but I understand why people's first instinct is to act this way.

It's probably because if you acted like they play in Madden,  in real life  nobody would want to stick around. 

Nobody wants a  friend who cheat at video games so they can get a  "W".

There used to be a time when players faced adversity against stronger opponents they'd practice and get better at the game.  

Now they just take the cowards way and cheat

That's human nature unfortunately. Take the easy way out over the hard way every time. The problem with that is as you said you don't face any adversity. So when faced with adversity you're not up to the challenge.

Agreed. I feel like it's more of this Gen Z group that is guilty of this. Most of these kids can't focus on anything for more than 10 seconds unless it is going their way. If not, they quit and give up. That's the reason why everyone gets a trophy now, people don't know how to fail or take a loss and improve. They just want shit handed out to them

Nah. 

It's more like there's no repercussions  on the Internet.  So there's no incentive to play right. 

If EA was ever serious abut fair play. they'd ban every single person who entered that mode with a Punter or Kicker at QB

I think you're both right tbh. Some people instantly go to cheese shit and bcs there's no repressions they know they can get away with it. Cheating (in the context of this discussion) is a symptom of poor game design which breeds exploitation. That's on EA unfortunately and while I don't expect them to find every possible way something can be exploited here it doesn't look like they even cared enough to try.
