since 2019 I haven't used linebackers in coverage unless in Goldline. I want to use my UL tokens on Ryan shazier. He won't to be my user.
Question is with zero AP acrobat will he jump or watch balls go over his head.

I believe acrobat helps more with diving interceptions. You want lurker if you want him to jump.
I would use both Lurker and Acrobat if you have the AP
Lurker is by far the best ability to use on any linebacker, as it makes them animate in ways they would never without it.

Thanks for the quick reply. currently running game changing Kevin Byard at the spot. I will need to use two AP to make him cover like Kevin does for 0 AP. no thanks I'll be sticking with three safeties in my big nickel.

Thanks for the reply that's what I figured don't want to waste zero AP spot on lurker when I can just use a safety who animates without it.
stay away from linebackers they are useless
I feel linebackers are still at need for run stopping. Obviously a good d-line solves most of that, but if going against an evenly good o-line, having a safety with not near as good block shed and tackling as a backer, could make the difference between a 5 yard run or a breakoff run to the house.
Lurker and Acrobat are the two most important abilities for a linebacker, user or CPU controlled.
If it's CPU controlled look to add Flat or Mid Zone if you have the AP.

I start the game in big nickel with four tackles with inside stuff. As a giant fan it hurts not playing Lawrence Taylor until 3rd down

Not useless they do play in my goal line got four of them with zero AP crusher and I think one with a 0 AP inside stuff

Ohhh ok i see. Yeah safety down in the box is probably better for you then

Agreed I was using a Fred warner and swapped byard into that role (was wasting him playing true FS) the difference is insane

fair if goal line is needed especially with those abilities but outside of that they are useless unless its an outside linebacker playing at d end
