For users, are abilities like zone kos, inside/outside stuff, reinforcement, etc effective vs an ability like avalanche for example. With avalanche on my user i know when i hit stick someone it will normally activate, however with the other abilities I mentioned above will they activate while on a user, or are those abilities better off used on cpu players?
My question I guess is what abilities are best used on users and what abilities are best used on cpu defenders.
You definitely want lurk artist on your user though pick artist is fine if your user is a safety.
The right KO can also be good if you miss the user pick you can still get a knockout. This is typically mid zone ko since most players try to take away the middle of the field with the user. But a lot of good players will blitz their user since this can create some cheesy pressure if done correctly. When you blitz your user zone KOs will not activate for your user. But the knockouts from dual threat/reinforcement will activate theoretically you want at least one of these two on the perfect user. Reinforcement is preferred imo because it helps combat.
Out my way is another ability you might want on your user since it helps you not get pancakes by vanguard but not necessary if you run reinforcement.
Finally, I think you want enforcer supreme/enforcer on users with avalanche and secure tackler/tackle supreme on those without avalanche. Your user is very important for stopping the run. Either help forcing fumbles with avalanche or getting the TFL is what you're going to want.
I think the main difference is KOs. You definitely want KOs on cpu players since they benefit more from the increased reaction time. KOs are nice on a user but I would understand if someone prioritizes other abilities on their user since they're mostly a plan B if you don't get the pick.

thanks that helps a lot.
I always blitz my user, even if I’m not planning on rushing, like you mentioned, but never realized that it would deactivate some of the zone kos. I wish mut would explain abilities more in depth in the actual game instead of having to go on forums to find out how they work.

Yeah it's a shame that some abilities are poorly explained in game. If you want to know more about what abilities actually do ingame, I would recommend checking out abilities.fyi. That site will tell you exactly what abilities are supposed to do in game.

Wow, that helps so much thank you. ive always wondered how certain abilities activate. for example with edge threat elite. I was under the impression that as long as my pash rushers equipped with it were the furthest outside players on the d line it would activate or be available to. But I like to run nickel 3-3 with only 3 d linemen and frequently pinch them, and from what I understand now, it has more to do with the positioning of them in relation to the o line. so I’ve been wasting that ability slot every time I pinch them in that formation since the de’s end up in front of the guard instead of the tackles. Thanks again for that info man I appreciate it that really help.
