dashing deadeye is fun, but I found myself not being able to use it due to contain and such.

It has not changed. Better off using juke box on current gen. I am sure some people are going to say HJS is great but it really is not as powerful. In testing it actually does less than it did last year. In M23 it was OP. Not this year

Surprised you find him clunky, he has the highest COD in the game right now. As to how to use him, any way you like. With gift wrapped on your QB you can use any HB as a receiver pretty well. He can be used as a power back or an elusive back. One thing is he always moves forward. Hardest HB to tackle this year IMO, including Gus.

I've run him with inside zone, stretch, I run texas routes with him, wheels, he's all purpose for me. 

The only thing maybe I can see, is he's big so if you prefer small shifty HBs maybe he's not for you but he's a beast, he really is.
