What's the consensus choice of the pack? The choices are Woolen, Phillips, Irvin, Rodgers, Patrick Willis, Vernon Davis, Too Tall Jones, Reshad Jones, Derwin and C Dexter Lawrence. My initial thought was Woolen for sure but Phillips get Secure Tackler + Inside Stuff for 1 AP and can also get Colossus for an additional 1. What are your thoughts?
I took willis because I was still using FP Ray Lewis, and I have 25 Niners TT.
second choice would have been Irvin for my SB TT
Best Choice depends on your current team
I picked Riq Woolen I had several of those guys already and sold woolen right before his value plummeted to make moves at other positions I’m glad I did now, I got 1.75 mil for him and got another one free and with flat and mid zone kos and 6’4” he is the alpha dog at slot corner.

Nice choice I had him already or would have he is the best MLB and sublb all year for me and the best available out of that pack.
Woolen seems like the obvious choice but I feel like we get a ton of CBs and not as many DTs. Especially with 0 AP Secure Tackler going against Angry Runs.
i went with C sexy dexy but i only care about OOP cards at this point of the game but i am one more messup by ea from just throwing in the towel completely

Going with woolen, he's end game enough for me.
Irvin or Davis? And which will be cheaper in reduxes ?

That's who I took.
Was between woolen, Phillips and Derwin
I took Vernon Davis
TT purposes.

I'm not sure there is a "consensus" choice for this pack, as there are just so many truly elite options available. I spent hours mulling this decision over in my head late last evening, but once I finally unlocked the S5 (97) Set pack, i had originally intended to sleep on the decision. Apparently it was burning a hole in my pocket, so after a not-insignificant amount of time spent debating with myself, I ultimately landed on Tariq Woolen.
That 6'4" height is extremely rare, especially for an outside corner. My only real "gripe" with him is no included Pick Artist, but hard to complain with an elite physical (and stats to back it up) end-game cornerback, equipped with fantastic X-factor options, as well as Deep + Mid Zone KO for 2AP. Then i went and built Peanut Tillman to play opposite Tariq, moved Ji`Ayir Brown back to his natural position (SS), instead of the outside CB role he had been filling, which gave me the ability to restore two D-line X-factors, without compromising much of anything with my DBs.
I really wanted to take Patrick Willis, so I could pair him with Fred Warner on my 50/50 49ers theme team, however it's still feeling far too gimped, so I'll be sticking with 707/70 Superbowl + 25/50 49ers (and 6/6 AKA Crews) hybrid TT for the foreseeable future. Not that anyone cares, but that was a brief overview of my rationale behind how and why I ultimately ended up choosing Tariq late last night.
Zero regrets, he's already had multiple interceptions, one of which he returned for a pick-six, enabling me to clutch up the +1000 Chocolate final House Rules victory.
I'm waiting to see who I can get with my UL tokens tomorrow before I make a descision.
Based on the current prices, this was my rankings:
- Tariq Woolen
- Michael Irvin
- Harrison Phillips
- Reshad Jones
- Derwin James Jr. (SS)
- Patrick Willis
- Vernon Davis
- Ed Too Tall Jones
- Dexter Lawrence (C)
- Aaron Rodgers
At this point in the game, WR abilities really don't affect the game much (Irvin), and there are alternatives to some of the players (Phillips, Jones, Derwin) so it made Tariq the easy pick at 6'4". His cards always play well and he'll have the best longevity on the squad.
