I am “scared” for old-gen. The reason I am “scared” is with the new fieldsense and with the sort of new meter at the top (completely forgot what it’s called but it gives you extra bonus things like faster x-factors and easier fumbles). I don’t like it for old-gen since we have been stripped of these new features and are giving us the same game for the past 3 years while next-gen has more. I understand that next-gen has more tech possibilities but theres a huge amount of people that have old gen consoles and cant afford the new console. All I’m trying to say is that we should get at least some new animations to make the game some new fun. What do you guys think?

As someone who owns an old gen console, I think the game is fine. the new flashy animations and “skill-based passing” wont really effect the game. They just gotta remove this field goal block glitch.

The thing that I’m trying to say is that, I’m paying for a new game but I won’t get new features that other people are paying for since they spent more money then me on a new piece of tech

Once a new console is out for 2/3 years they should stop putting out games for the older consoles. They have to make the games worse on purpose for them.
This mostly applies to other games but it can apply here too.

They spent more money so they got a better product. It sucks, but its just how life works.

You could be right...that is why I'm making the move. Currently on PS4 and have not been able to locate a PS5 locally since release...found where I can Order an XBox X from Costco the other day, so...I'll be switching from PS4 to XBox X later this week...just cause I'm tired of buying dual entitlement and waiting.

Lots of entitlement being shown in these comments. Cost and still-excess demand is still a factor here for many.

I managed to win a raffle for the “opportunity” to buy a PS5 late last year. I play the PS4 version of madden 99% of the time. The “momentum meter” alone is reason to cancel next gen alone. I would probably adapt to the seemingly clunky nature of the players if it wasn‘t for another “animation/superstar/ability” nonsense affecting game play. I know nothing no it field sense but would assume it is yet another garbage add-on to bring the skill requirement down and increase the “chance” so casuals and “pay to wins” can keep up.
