No no no, I assure you Season 2 will be just as bad as Season 1. But i'm glad you are excited and pumped. However, it might behoove us as a community to have some basic standards. Have you actually played this game? 😉
I am excited that we got some truly decent freebie cards in Season 1, the fully upgraded Hines Ward and Maxx Crosby are still on my squad to this day. That is a rare and beautiful thing, in past years the cards were all but unusable, so minor improvement (hate giving EA props for doing the bare minimum, we should expect that free cards are viable on most squads) -- however, will your guy Kirko Chainz be better than the JJ McCarthy that is already in-game? I guess that TOTW boost goes away shortly, regardless. Maybe. Did the Season of BOOM strategy card ever expire? EA regularly sets dates/times to end things, but then conveniently "forgets" or whatever.

Dude, i really wanted to bite my tongue. But since you responded ill say what i first thought when i saw OPs post.
He works for EA. Either an actual employee or paid influencer. I of course cant prove this, and call me jaded, but thats what i think when someone randomly posts a happy positive post like that. 🤷

Some of yall are so miserable that no one else is allowed to enjoy the game without being accused of being a plant 🤣

Also, on the topic of the season cards, im still aggrivated that they introduced a new sysytem of having to go buy each upgrade separately and such hoping to confuse people. I only have two maxed because i didnt take out a calculator and pen and paper and chart a plan. Never had to do anything like this before and I dont believe it was an accident. It was done intentionally.

Dude youve posted all negative things in like three other threads this morning. Youre enjoying the game now? Lol

You're not wrong to approach this with a skeptical eye, but if we've learned anything about this company, they're not exactly going to be doing anything to lift a finger, let alone go the extra mile (even to shill their "new" content). I suspect that the majority of EA employees understand these shortcomings from the parent company as much, if not more so (or perhaps in different ways than we do). Probably why MUTLeaks is having a field day, there's some disgruntled staff or someone that was let go and still has friends or contacts within the community.
I had to rewrite/rephrase my post a couple times, because i didn't want to be rude or straight up rain on anyone's parade if they're actually legitimately excited about this new Season -- it is strange, i do not have a better theory than your own. EA won't even pay us off (the community) with fire MCS cards, remember how good those were in the past? I used that 91 OVR Mike Evans (FS) for a VERY long time, well after 93-94+ OVR were in the game. Those cards (in the past) always punched above their weight. This year, at least to get started, the Garrett Wilson freebie isn't even on par with some 83 OVR receivers that have been out weeks, let alone compare or compete with Maserati Marv or The Duke or any of the top tier pass catchers.

Same, at least we know for next season.

I'd love to hear all the ways in which YOU are currently (or have been) enjoying M25. As i stated previously, i'll give anyone that is brand new to Madden (within their first ~100, or so hours of gameplay) a pass, because it takes a little while to see all the shortcomings and glaring warts... but let's be honest, my son figured it out within the first ~ten hours of Madden 22 (our first back after a very long break) -- this is not an objectively good game.
But i'm eager to hear you change my mind. Sure, we all get fired up for our favorite teams/players or whatever, but let's separate personal preferences and pure fandom from quality. It's okay to be critical of the things we love. In fact, as odd as it may seem, being critical of the things we're passionate about is typically how we get actual improvements. Sadly, we're all just pissing into the wind. EA has years, if not decade(s) of feedback that they've been straight up ignoring. I'm not convinced they could make a good game even if they tried (which they are not / have not tried).
But we should all just shut up, sit down... stop thinking about it. Consume, consume, consume -- BUY MORE PACKS.

Yeah, this type "improvement" to the season / field pass system or rewards is straight up confusing to ALL players, old and new alike. I was able to upgrade all three (Ward, Crosby & Alstott -- i'm playing Juice at TE mostly), plus have maybe 400 extra S1 token/currency that i don't know what to do with. But it wasn't obvious to me how many of these S1 tokens we'd actually be able to earn and i'm with you, totally not trying to get a MUT economics degree, F that noise.
Plus they give everyone (especially new players) the opportunity to shoot themselves in the foot by allowing random 74+ or whatever the BOOM or Bust pack offers are... which means folks will miss out on the one or two objectively good cards (Hines Ward & Maxx Crosby). So stupid.
Agreed, this was all very intentional, ensuring people have to buy more packs.

Yeah, wouldnt be surprised to see a pack or bundle for money tomorrow with the new season for people to be able to get whatever tokens left they need.
Also, good point about people especially kids or just someone new to the game, on all the useless packs. I didnt even buy any of those until yesterday when it became evident i had leftover tickets snd not enough to max my third. Currently one short of having hines maxed (hes my fourth wr so not a huge deal) and have lewis and crosby maxed. I think my mistake was buying all the low level upgrades at once not realizing there wasnt gonna be enough tickets to max everyone at the time.

I dont enjoy it. I hate it and only play it to punish myself for being a naughty boy.

That's where they nearly got me good, as well -- i was so confused, so (at least initially) i did basically nothing. I was extremely patient with the upgrade path, it wasn't until I had liek 2000 S1 tickets that i finally pulled the trigger on Hines Ward. From there, i started to understand the basic process, however, i still wasn't confident how many of these we'd be able to earn on our own, through the grind. Even if i had spent an hour with a calculator, these damn in-game menus are anything but informative.
I typically waste a thousand+ hours per year on this bad game and i can barely figure these things out, how the hell is any random/average/casual player supposed to approach this? Especially when these S1 cards can make a HUGE impact on NMS type squads. Ahhh well. Haven't logged on in a couple days. Seems i missed my opportunity to sell off my team. Probably best to stack a few coins in case i decide to come back later in the year. I'm running out of steam, was trying to remain patient until first patch, but i'm delusional thinking that EA will ever figure this out. They years and years of data, they know what they're doing -- pack sales, pack sales, pack sales. Why make anything easy or accessible, that could hurt pack sales.

I sort of knew you were projecting (your own miserableness) -- it's okay, we all love the company. I know there isn't a soul on the planet that thinks Madden is an objectively good game... but i was trying to give the benefit of the doubt.
I respect and appreciate your brutal honesty. I wish i were a masochist, but alas, I am but a boring ole missionary type, or so it seems. I just want a fun, fair, balanced and hopefully competitive simulation fatball game. In lieu of that, i'd settle for some butter in my ass.
