Just remember who has what assignment and RPOs aren’t that bad. Unfortunately the game forces your players to make a read during the play, so manning up the read key doesn’t work. That’s why you gotta add players to the option side
Everything is annoying on different levels to different people I suppose. Zone knockouts are the most annoying thing in the game in my opinion, so fake and cheesy, Most people love them though.

I can avoid a zone knock out my finding an open zone, free form dot, or even running the ball. RPOs affect your defenders no matter what defensive assignment they're in. That's the annoying part.

idk if it gets cheesier than catching a ball, securing it, and then a play grazes you with a hand and you explode.
that’s the beauty of an RPO tho, is its designed to have built in options depending on the defense. If I come out running a bubble screen/stretch rpo, and dude is running 6-1 cover 4, I will shred it over and over all game. If he doesn’t change his defense, I dont change what I’m doing. Once he audibles to man coverages, I audible to built in crossing routes, or starting handing it off on the stretch, and I have the upper hand again. thats what the game is(or should be), a constant chess match, not a who has cheesier abilities fest.
Not saying this is you, but it’s usually the people who get pressed because their one and only defense isnt a good match up for RPOs, and they refuse to change what they do, and somehow that’s not on them but the person theyre playing who is ruining the experience.

agreed, any time people complain about something strategy wise I find it’s largely one of two reasons
they can’t defend
and
its not realistic
RPOs largely fall into the first category

There's a difference between stopping an RPO, and playing someone who's offense is built around RPO with vanguard and angry runs. I know it'll be frustrating experience so I'd rather not feed into it.
Also it sounds like youre a good player who plays the meta, may I ask what offense did you run last year?

in theory stock cover 3 should be the best defense vs RPOs and in madden its honesty the worst play to call. it breaks a simple defense 10/10 times because the defender over the WR will play the hand off everytime. that's what I meant by its broken.
Why not learn to stop it? It's really not hard.
Only thing everyone runs is double post/RPO/Vert Under. Or some roll out and wing it up. This game is generic as hell. Blame the youtube dorks who pimp ebooks.
I'm just ready to run gun monster until the end of July.

I'm waiting for the free AKA to run triple option w Peyton
I mean other than rpos the problem is that to me it looks like playin the same person every game. Everyone plays the same. All bo's, all the same offense, all the same glitch. I mean...
SosaChamberlain said:I give em a RPO minimum before I quit. If you run 3 RPOs your first drive I'm not playing this out lol.
Yup. And anyone with Bo handing off to another Bo. the first is just not worth my time and the second is just too stupid.

Yep and I agree that that’s an issue, but the work around isn’t that bad. RPOs are not performing correctly, but they’re still not bad to stop
yeah i started playing hogwarts legacy this weekend and no doubt im in the mode with madden now where i just want to sell off, its hit that time of year where its only diehards running all Bos now with the exact same offense 3/4 plays and same defense 1/2 plays, madden is Joe-ver for the year soon for me
