There is NO might to it it was confirmed on GMM that he'll upgrade through the next few Months

Good too know because I saw on quickfire's thread that there were two other upgrades supposedly just wasn't sure if EA had confirmed them or not

PSA: If you don't want to run with your phone, which I never do, you can just create an activity for 5 miles in app to get Bo after you link your account and accept the challenge. In app you will not get progress but in game you will get the grant for Bo. I just confirmed I got him.
These were the instructions shared by D1No - "on the app, bottom right, click on activity. Next click on the + plus symbol upper right, and add a 5 mile run or anything over 4 miles ... Save."

those who ran 4 miles but don’t have Bo yet…he should have been delivered IMMEDIATELY.
If you downloaded the app and thought it was all set up proper after registering, it isn’t. I did the 4 miles and it said completed. I waited and waited. Finally I got curious and clicked the completed icon and (I can’t remember exactly how) ended up on an ad for the promo that had a “connect accounts” button. After clicking it runs you through the Nike to EA linking process and you’ll get a big ✅ at the end. Logged onto MUT and Bo was delivered immediately.
I’m getting old so the running is great but technical obstacle course I’d say could’ve been better for soon to be geezers like me
