Think I may have figured something out lol

Granted if im right, I should A) Not be surprised with how buggy and trash this game is and B) probably should have noticed this much sooner.

BUT, all that aside. I think it either doesnt matter at all, or doesnt matter much, who your CB2 is. He will always suck (or at least not be very good even if he is a good card) /be the weakest link in your defense. This may depend on your scheme and playstyle but for me this has been the case most of the year. 

Some or the best of them have been Slay and the rattler but even they had their struggles. Tariq woolen was a complete bum, as a matter of fact thats an understatement. Rn 95 Champ is following in his footsteps as a massive underperformer who may not last long. 

Im gonna switch him with CB1 (currently Moss) and see how that goes. Small sample size so far with Bailey but just reminded me of other "top" corners this year for me in that spot. Just a funny observation.

EDIT: Mind you I user the FS so im often over there to help, if anything this should be the most protected side if they werent so frequently HORRIBLE. lol

Oh one more thing, not so much for the rattler but in Slays case I think alot of his success was due to DZKO which id argue isnt really even success because it literally involves technically getting beat and arriving a step late to kinda "bump into" the WR. LOL

Granted thats more than that bum Woolen ever did for me even with DZKO lol cant state enough how awful that guy was.

What type of zones do you have them in and what are they doing/not doing that stands out vs cb 1?

Its a variety but most common denominator is probably anything press when they consistently standout get beat deep, even by worse slower wrs and even if they have very good press and coverage.  It happens in other cases but most common time is press, especially press man. 

The reason its interesting to me is that it doesnt seem to happen with anyone else, not cb1, not in the slot, etc def not as often anyway.

Honestly I just came to a complete opposite conclusion. I've been running the crappy Ty Law 90 overall as my CB2 just for his KO ability and he never gets cooked. I realized that nothing matters but abilities, even having 89 speed he's never getting beat deep. Its all about the abilities, stats dont even matter to me

So I don’t know why it is only happening on cb2, but aside from that it sounds like you’re pressing in man without deep safety help?  I wouldn‘t advise that with any cb haha!  In general though man coverage isn’t something I run this year as there are too many ways to cook it.  If you’re seeing it in zone press you could either shade coverage up (which doesnt always work btw), or you could use quick adjustments to manually back cb 2 up presnap.  It’s weird it’s only that cb2 though lol

Yeah see that kind of matches up with what I said about my Slay over there when I was running him. Thing is it shouldnt come to that with some players. Champ Bailey shouldnt be regularly getting beat in the first place like that on streaks to even HAVE to catch up for a KO. (In his case in the game before that he wasnt even able to do that he was beat so bad. Lol which is what used to happen with Woolen alot for me in that role.

Yeah no I get all that, and its usually with safety help like I said. But even without it, it shouldn't happen that often that badly. Thats the point of having a good press or man or both, corner. Otherwise we should all just get a bunch of tall zone corners and play c3 every play lol

Yeah im starting to come around to that myself lol I usually play like 80 percent man (as long as I have the personnel for it) this year I probably play more zone than ever before.

Well to be fair I did say if ny theory proves correct Im surprised it took me this long to notice lol also it wasnt really about man. Its about CB2. Getting beat badly, often, seemingly no matter who it is(in man AND zone) when all the other corners dont. 🤷‍♂️

Might be something to this. I think that left side is just were most players pass to as well.

my cb2 is ty law and he’s been my best defender by far……dude’s a picking machine
