Of course, if he paused the game and didn't know to click resume, that's a user interface issue. If he thought he could pause the game to force the other guy to quit, and the other guy didn't click resume, this odd battle of wills can go wherever it does, and I feel sorry for no one.

"There should be something to let you go back into the game in situations like this" doesn't suggest he wanted to leave the game paused until the guy left, a la the pause glitch.

He said he paused to try to make them quit. Why would you try to make anybody quit by pausing it? All that does is make the game longer. Makes no sense at all

A simple message, especially since some gamers play with the peer-to-peer audio off. It makes sense to me. Nothing antagonistic or unsportsmanlike about it.
Anyway, seems like everyone was quick to judge him when it sounds like he was simply the unfortunate recipient of yet another EA failure.

If he needs stats, there's always Solos. Most of us don't play H2H for the stats, unless we're also playing for wins.
You're making too big of a deal about the pause itself. It's nothing. In a game with a pause feature, you should be able to unpause. That is really all there is to this discussion.

He shouldn't be acting like a clown pausing the game when he is winning. The game has issues with pausing so he pauses? Smart.

So you can only pause if you’re losing now? Sounds like another toxic made-up rule to go along with an entire online community of toxic, glitch-gamers. Just looking for reasons to take offense from the benign, so that they can justify an approach to the game that is fundamentally antisocial.
