Thoughts on theme teams

Not sure if any of you will agree or not, but I’m finding it hard to stick with a TT at this point. A lot of these cards dropping don’t even really need a TT with 98+ speed, Acc & Agi etc… especially if you use the +1 speed Strat card. It got me thinking that maybe EA could add something to the game other than just physical attributes to entice people to go TT. Maybe you get to choose a bonus hit power or tackle rating or something else that makes it worth going TT. I’ve got respect to those who run strictly TT at this point in MUT especially considering every other card is 32 team chems. 
 

Anyways, just wondering how many of you have bailed on or are still rocking a true TT

i bailed, try to do a fun lineup EA nerfed my team to oblivilon and now back to the commanders TT

i'm 97 OVR, STILL WAITING FOR EA TO GIVE ANDREW WYILIE AND CODY BARTON WASHINGTON CHEMS

EDIT: to put in short, EA just forces you to make a god squad or a theme team which is absolutely sad

Okay so I was thinking this the other day to myself and with all these tt chems coming out i had mine at 55/50 and thought to myself what if they made a new bonus for theme teams and what I came up with is maybe if you reach 55/60 you get a +1 AP budget and if you reach 60/60 team chem you would get +2 AP budget

Yeah that’s what it’s coming down to. There’s a lot of potential Washington Legends that have a chance to drop… Green, Taylor, Baugh, Riggins etc etc so you’ll probably be in good shape in a few weeks

That would be sweet. then you could customize however you like and it gives you some extra incentive to actually run one

In theory they're good. 

I'm practice anything over the free 25 players anyone can make a theme of without sacrificing anything is insane to me. 

This week Randy Moss, Barry Sanders, and LT are releasing. 

Who on Earth doesn't want to use all three?

Exactly and there’s going to be so many other cards dropping from Easter to Golden Tix. I love than EA is going all out with the quality of cards and even the AP stacks which can be a real pain in the ass, but keep giving random cards 32 team Chems is frustrating. Reggie white a Viking, sure, why not! Everyone’s teams gonna look the same

That's why I'm so thankful for the new strat card that does +1 speed. 

There was no way I was going to get that from a theme team.

TTs are good for people that can’t afford to get every single new card that comes out. All the RoH players are probably gonna be a million + coins each… and a lot of players don’t have 5 million coins laying around.

And best boost I can come up with for TTS is 99 Play Rec and Awareness cause it’s like they’re a “team“ and they’ve “played together“, but that’s just an idea

I run a 55/50 Ravens TT and currently that is great. It's 98 OVR and I have not yet added the Bus, OBJ or Reggie to plug my biggest holes. The Oline is the best in the game imo, with Madden - Powers - Tornado - Yanda - Anderson. Gronk and Andrews make for a great TE combo. I have 3 99 CBs in Slay, Humphrey and the free upgraded Peters (with slot specialist strat card).

The TT was a bit mediocre around playoffs / SB but I am glad I stuck to it. The +2 speed boost across the board helps, but as a Ravens fan it is also still cool if Humphrey gets a pick, Lewis causes a fumble or Andrews catches a TD. And I play this game because I want to have fun.

i've been advocating this for YEARS.....but aparently EA doesn't know how to roughly balance that out to the point where they put out even more then they should i would like to see that implimented  but then we would see one team more than any other team they just can't find a way to creatively team build teams

totally agree with this... it feels so much better when your favorite players making plays...
