Tips and tricks on the comp screen short in elite?

So Big Gucci's tip to beat man cvg is to put short in elite on a slot receiver and then run a corner route....

If I'm not mistaken doesn't a corner route go outside and isn't it not a short route.?

Why would short in elite activate on a corner route from the slot?

Well you are correct and he is also correct.

Because the route makes its cut inside the numbers the slot WR should get separation from Short In Elite when he cuts. 

It shouldn’t activate a catch animation because it will be greater than 10 yards but that shouldn’t really matter against Man Coverage if you already beat the defender.

I have read each of those,  because some actually have some changes made (like how gunslinger only speeds up release not ball velocity). SIE isn't supposed to trigger on deep routes to the sideline,  it is supposed to trigger on short routes between the numbers. 

All these abilities that say either "in" or "out" are defined by whether they are outside or between the hash marks or numbers.  I know there is overlap in game and some are glitched.  For example matchup nightmare lights up not only near LBs,.etc but also near CBs under certain circumstances. 

I think it is the same for SIE, if any part of the route breaks towards the inside of the  numbers  even for a split second on the way to the corner,  it triggers. Technically it shouldn't,  but it does

So a lot of those descriptions are not correct when compared to how they actually work in-game

I've tried weird ones like Matchup nightmare and gift wrapped for the lulz and yea they light up every play but I have no idea if they actually do anything (Visual glitch vs actually work not sure)
