This is my first year on new gen and its quite different from old gen. No more blitzing your user for the increase in COD and no more just being able to dominate a game with your user taking away multiple routes which im fine with cause new gen is much more realistic. It does seem like its alot harder to stop people on defense though. All I try to do is play my part and try and take away the route in covering or take away the middle part of the field or part of it. I noticed that interceptions are much more rare on new gen,I've only had 2 ints in 10 SB games and 24 solos so far. I know alot of ppl dont like the slowness of new gen but I think its much more realistic cause IRL we dont see defenders out there zooming around taking away 2-3 routes and picking the ball off when its intended 10-15 yards behind them. Just didnt know what tips and strategies players are using to help on defense?
For usering always make circular movements. People always act like COD matters because they hard cut across with their user. COD DOES NOT MATTER ON UR USER(imo)... just blitz and make curved movements to change direction. Also user safeties subbed in at LB since linebackers suck
as of right now, it’s super hard to swap between receiver routes. normally i am pretty solid at following a slant, then last second dipping to a dig route and getting the pick.
with the speed and clunkiness of the user right now, my tip is to choose one route to user, and stick with it. if they’re running crossers, pick one. whenever i switch I’m just no where near the ball this year and both end up open
defense this year so far is horrible, don't take it too personally it's probably not even your fault.

use the user to jam the shit out of receivers and run a glitchy blitz
