TOTW Format - Opinions?

To be honest I don't really like the current format for a number of reasons:

1 Current hero - not very attainable without spending money

2 Past heros  - not very attainable without spending money

1 Limited hero

Other cards - volume of usable cards is very low and not very exciting.

I feel the weekly heros should be more attainable and more usable content from this promo.

I think the solos are a bit light and should offer more reward.

I don‘t like the 84+ thing. Just give me an 87; they did it for preseason.

only 3 easy games simply isn't enough content especially if there isn't WCW!

A lot of us hate it. Even if they switched the gray with green and left the shapes and stuff the same it would be soooooooo much better

It sucks. They don't listen to the community and the game still sells so they'll just keep doing whatever they want whether we like it or not. This years game as a whole just has less content. Scrapped wildcard Wednesday on top of the reduced activities and rewards. If this is what we can expect going forward with this game it will be my last Madden. They're creating an environment where it's nothing but whales competing to see who can build the best team by spending the most money and solo NMS players are being pushed out in droves. If you're Solo NMS make no mistake. This company and Dev team hates you and they've done everything short of telling you this game isn't for you anymore. NAT cards turned into NCAT's which turned into BND. We all have to be sick to some degree to continue to put up with this shit.

yeah they need to go back to the old way where every spot is upgraded, more cards is never a bad thing and that gives people that wouldnt get one more chance to get one if they have a stellar week. Youd still have a Hero for past/present but then you have a higher chance to get a higher card either way and wouldnt get shafted like Minkah did (who was the AFC player of the week) 

As I said prior in the other thread, give me that stupid bright emerald green instead of this drab grey color.

Art sucks, less solos, cards are lowered, and I'm not sure why they are still doing legends during TOTW. Their excuse for the past two years was just in case the NFL shut down, and yet they are still doing it, not to mention we can't even get a free TOTY player anymore. Total downgrade from years past.

TOTW needs to be redone, right now here are the pain points:

1.  Pack only promo, can't participate much if you're not buying packs or overpaying for cards on the AH

2.  Desire to stick with the format of 1 current POTW instead of giving cards that are deserving to all who balled out each week

3.  Desire to hold back upgrades because a card might be slated for a future promo

4.  Focus on introducing legends into TOTW instead of, I don't know, increasing the number of legends release every weekend in the legend promo

I'm sure there are more but let's start with the above and here's what I think could make it much better:

1.  If the cards are BND from solo rewards, stick to giving us the hero cards because that is how they sold us on NCAT/BND being a good thing when it was started last year, "Yeah they're NCAT but it means we can give you higher rewards" was basically the message

2.  To help it not be pack only, introduce rerolls for it as well to help the market and the ability to make the sets.

3.  If they want to give us lower rewards, they shouldn't be BND or at the very least, make them set eligible

4.  If a player or multiple players are deserving of upgrades, give them the upgrades, we need flexibility for a promo that is supposed to be based on real world performance, we know some weeks a couple of players are going to go off, don't hold it back because you have have an imaginary limit you've put on yourselves and do not hold a player back because they have an upgrade lined up in October/November, it's not like these plans are shared with us, we will have no idea that you had to change the promo master a couple of weeks to a month from now, adapt and adjust

5.  TOTW needs to be current players so we can reward more who are deserving based on the real world results, none of us are going to be up in arms if the Legends promos suddenly gives us 5-6 legends instead of just 2-3 each week, there is no reason to stick to arbitrary limits from past Maddens when they can learn and grow

I might have missed some things but these are my thoughts, to me it's all about being flexible and adjusting instead of trying to stick to a template from year's past.

Actually disappointed, thought for sure they would pile the cards this year. 
 

What is it like four new cards?

No interest for any of them. 

Solos were amazingly quick, 10-minutes tops for the six of them.

I agree with everything. Drew Bledsoe could easily have come out with the next Legends drop and he would have been the same exact thing, just different card art. Then Minkah could have gotten the 90 he deserved and they could have added another player, like, say, Number 1 Pick Travon Walker who had 3 tackles, a FF, AND an interception? 

I was reading an article on the old NCAA football games and it said that the game was created by college football fans. Probably the reason why the games were so good. Why can't they just do that with Madden and have people who care about football and not money make it?
