I preordered a while back and two copies showed up on my xbox series s. Just though it was a file for the download. guess i have been playing the one that did not have "X/S" on the game icon, meaning i was playing the previous gen version. I opened the the game icon with the "X/S" on it and my MUT it brand new with no preorder content. WTF lol.

Whichever version you open first gets all your preorder stuff and all your rp's. The 2 gens aren't connected this year

just shows you how greedy this company is that they didn't think in advance about scenarios like this one. the only reason for them to split the game between old and next gen is to kill current gen and force everyone to pay that extra $10 for the next gen version. they didn't care if something like what happened to you would happen. such an awful company. try contacting their support, maybe they can help you

Same thing happened to me, and I spent 98% of my time on the non X/S version.
Do you know if the Marketplaces are separate as well?
I've already done a ton of legwork and would hate to start over.
If they are separate I'd imagine that the XS version would have the most users/players, do you agree?

It's not greed. They are phasing out support for old gen to go strictly current gen. I'd bet next year it's current gen only. Yes, it should have been labeled better.

This Just happened to me too. I'm just now discovering all of this and realizing I spent wayy too much money on the wrong Gen Madden, when I have a Xbox s and the Madden 24 version I've been playing is the old Gen version this whole time!!?? Why would they let this be an issue. If you are on a New Gen console the ONLY version of the game you should be able is the NEW GEN VERSION of the game! This is so bad, because the playbooks and settings are not the same nor is the Auction Market the same with no way to transfer your team. This game is so broken. Not wasting any more money on this game this year. Spent my way to much time and money on an 86 OVR theme team
