By now, everyone probably knows that you can loop blitz and get instant, almost unblockable, pressure on your opponents all game while having an amazing coverage shell. I have seen A LOT of people ask about how to block it and I am here to share what in my opinion, is the best way to block and beat loop blitzes in Madden 23.
How do they work?
After CleffTheGod's Video video was posted around a week ago, this blitz quickly picked up and is now seen in nearly every game. Like in Madden 22, tackles and running backs allow the loopers to run right around them for easy and fast sacks. This makes it so that this blitz flies in vs max protect while only sending 5 defenders. Not one, but 2 defenders loop around the tackles, tight end(s), and running back(s). Loop blitzes are not just done from Nickel 3-3. They can be used in other formations with LB contains such as Dollar. The key to stopping the blitzes comes down to offensive line adjustments.

Stopping the 3-3 Loop Blitzes
The most common form of the loop blitz comes from the play LB Blitz 0 from the 3-3 formation. To stop this using the way I am about to share, you would like to be in a shotgun formation.
Step 1: Double team the DE on the opposite side of the running back.
Step 2: Put the running back on a "Check and Release" hot route. This step is very important!
There should be a purple icon with a "C" on it on top of the OLB on the HB's side. The symbol will look like the one below.
Play Action: This is not a requirement to block the blitz, but sometimes running play action can help a little with stopping the blitz. If you need to call a play fast and do not have time for adjustments, I would recommend some sort of play action.
These steps should allow you to have more time in the pocket. With how good pass rush is though, you still will have to make your read fast. You may get looped once in a while even with this setup, but it should reduce the frequency. A good tip is to step up if you know you are going to get sacked so that you lose less yards.
Stopping Dollar Blitzes
Like I stated earlier, these loop blitzes can be done from dollar too. Against dollar, I would just run the ball with a base or something like an inside zone from a gun formation. However, if you would like to pass, double team the DE on the side of the LB you think will be looping. It would have to be a guess sometimes, but if you guess right you will be able to pick up the looper quite well.
Beating Man Coverage
What makes these loop blitzes so much more dominant than the Madden 22 loop blitzes, is how well the coverage is. Man coverage sticks like glue and it is hard to get open routes against it. Here are some few tips on how you can make faster reads to beat man coverage.
Abilities: Using abilities like Short In Elite allow your receiver to make fast cuts on routes that break under 10 yards and within the numbers. This allows your WRs to get more separation on the DB in man coverage.
Good Route Combos: Throwing the huge one play touchdowns and huge beaters are always tempting, but with how good pass rush is this year, you rarely get the time. Put routes that allow you to get the ball of quick on the field. I would use zigs, in routes, out routes, slants, smart routed corners, and even some great stock routes.
