Oluokun was king for usering until this release. No one should be usering Bush or Shazier or Debo. They all shine at OLB positions.
It's incredibly rare that a free card can replace the top player at the position that sells for 900k-1 million coins.

You think an entire team getting +1 acceleration isn't much different than say, +1 short route running?
Are we really at the point to be relying on a +1 accel? It's cool and definitely the better boost but saying overpowered is a stretch

I didn't say that.... If you read what I said it's definitely the better boost. However..... Aren't most teams past the point to where +1 accel is cool but not overpowering? It's definitely more beneficial than the other two captains. But it's far from overpowering at this point In the game imo

agreed every play on my field at skill positions are 99 accel already with tt boosts. not overpowered at all.

I know where the confusion is, I'm sorry. That's my mistake for not making the opening post clear enough.
It's overpowered compared to the other captains available.
Not only do you get the best linebacker for usering in the game but you also get +1 acceleration for everyone.
That +1 may not be important for some positions but with the release of larger WR's and TE's who have acceleration in the 93 to 95 range it's now possible to get them to 99 acceleration rather easily.
The same goes for offensive and defensive line. What we've seen, especially with D line, is that you'll have either great speed or great acceleration. As we know, ACC > SPD that ACC helps make a lot of players viable to be used.

acceleration is way more important than speed for the trenches. Your online/dline is only going a small distance, so acceleration is def superior in thaT sense.

They help your team with the team bonuses. Thankfully they're easy to tuck away in week 1 and I'm sure we'll see more positions for week 2.
At this point in the season Theme Teams are a detriment to team quality once you reach the first acceleration boost.
I agree on the theme teams being detrimental. I use a mix these days with a primary focus on one team and legends. So tucking away 5 guys for a small team boost is not exactly easy to do. Especially with 3 slots used for Guardian motivators already.

I disagree for a few reasons.
Warner has a horrible COD.
Willis is meh. He has low SPD and ACC and it takes 1.2 million coins to get that COD to a 97.
Oluokun clears them both.
