What are important attributes in a 4-3 defense

In Madden, all defenses require the same things:

  • fast fatties
  • tall guys in coverage
  • high acc & cod on user

I chuckled at fast fatties 

But this isnt wrong. Just have to make sure youre running the right personnel. You dont want Edge guys staying in coverage and you dont want run stuffers on the ends. etc. 

High coverage LBs, OLB should be your DE's. Etc.

I play 4-3. 

Get TOTY Garrett or Buckner.

Best DT's you can afford and look for SPD, ACC & BSH. Stick Inside Stuff on them. 

LB's need to be decent against the run inside and fast outside. Avoid obvious 3-4 guys like that free Floyd who has low 60's numbers in coverage. 

Drop a fast and tall Safety in to your Sub LB slot or an equally fast LB with good ACC & COD. User that guy most of the time. I tried the LURK Chem but it didn't seem to do that much but you do need to understand your coverages and be half decent at it. If you stay on the DL then play one of the Ends rather than a DT.
