What is the best way to stop outside stretch runs

I got destroyed last night by a RB with Evasive (non Angry Runs)

I don have any "no outsiders", so maybe that was my mistake

But I would try even blitzing all my outside DBs and still could get a taackle for loss, at worse, they would get 4-5 yrds

Then I would try going after the RB with my user, but with evasive, they would simply juke me out

No outsiders helps for sure. I usually run cover 4 when people spam stretch because your safety has run responsibilities and will usually close quicker.

depends on formation. I either call cover 3 out of 4-3 even[6-1] pinch my dline and spread my LBs and require some S tier usering. If it's a formation where I don't need the line of scrimmage crowded I'll call dollar cover 4, pinch d line and slant inside. You'll have to blitz your slot or MLB accordingly to cover run fits.

I only press if I'm inside my 40 because I'm not giving up a bomb trying to stop a 5yd gain lol

Nickel 33 Cub - Cover 3 Buzz does pretty well for me. It's Madden, so every once in a while things go wonky, but it's pretty consistent for me.

best way I’ve found is to have Chase Young and Cam Jordan on the edges with no outsiders rushing from a wide 5 man line, something like 5-2 or 3-3 cub.

This is the real trick... i haven't found a way to truly stop, let alone counter an opponent who is committed to toting the rock.  Angry Runs and/or Evasive are ridiculously overpowered, as you pointed out.  Definitely try to call something liek Cover 4 Quarters, but audible over after first coming out in a Dbl Safety Blitz package, which will automagically walk both of your Safeties down into the box, ensuring they'll help play and react to run defense better/faster.  Often I'll do exactly as you did, blitz my outside corner and hope they don't get burned 1 on 1.  As of late last evening, i began running Reinforcement (or Dual Threat) on outside corners, if feasible (currently using Ji`Ayir Brown with LIU token) hoping they'll do better reacting to and defending the run.  When guys are able to consistently gain 4+ yards per play, no matter what we do, the game becomes a frustrating mess.  No Outsiders on edge rushers is also lovely, although at the moment I still only have one (Chase Young at RE).

have atleast 6 players in the box with at least 2-3 secure tacklers and pray. Everyone has different tricks for running

• No outsiders on my OLBs have been very effective running a 4-3 (Wide or 6-1). 

• Bring a safety down in the box. 

• Spotlight the RB

•Add Pursuit strategy

• Run commit if you notice their play calling pattern isnt changing.

Inside quarters (the safeties in cover 4) give your deep players the dedicated run fit, using a heavier box and/or cover 4 with the safeties coming down to  stop the run will be helpful

also, on defense if you ever see the “c” and “f” icon over your defenders, those are for the “cutback” and “force” roles. The force player helps to set the edge preventing the long outside run and the cutback player is responsible for filling the gaps that the RB has to cutback

I did the same with brown and it’s helped a lot

Sam Will Blitz out of 4-3 even 6-1, with no outsiders on your OLBs and/or DEs. Spread your d line and go after him with your user.

Depends on formations, but if 4-3 wide and spread linebackers.

Also 43 over solid, which puts your strongside LBer in the line.

Dont blitz DBs to stop the run, swap to a 6-1 or 4-3 formation, LBs just tackle better than Dbs, and No outsiders has been amazing for me, my chase young stops every stretch

This is very easy, call a 4 D lineman set, pinch the dline, crash down, come off the hip if your de to the side of the stretch, there should be a gap of the c gap to hit and get a tackle for loss. Easy
