Why am I unable to user defend TE drag routes and corner routes when I have a 5+ speed advantage with my user? EA must have changed the sprint button on defense this year because I don't think I've ever seen a 98 speed player get outran more than I do.
But seriously, am I doing something wrong or is that how the game is?
Im having that issue too, 98 speed dawkins but he runs like a slug
Who is the player you use? I feel like there are a lot of 99 speed guys on offense, so onto top of that I think height matters for like stride length, any abilities like route tech, also other players might have higher acceleration.
The balance is definitely skewed towards the offense which is maddening always having been a defensive guy. Certain users with the same speed and acceleration feel way different. Prime example max theme team Ted Hendricks vs max theme Nate Hobbs. Hobbs smaller just feels like a burner while Ted just feel clunky. I'm starting to wonder if something like certain players that have a more beneficial running animation which on the surface shouldn't matter but equates to milliseconds in actual gameplay.
