I think some people have millions of coins and are over-paying in an attempt to quickly complete certain sets.
I have seen other undesirable players going for outrageous buy it now prices.

Only set I can think of is the 88-89 exchange set but that's abt it...... and I doubt that due to the stupidity it would take to use such an expensive player in that set

People are getting ready for Team Diamonds and thinking the sets will require 86 OVR core elites. I have every one in the game sitting in my binder for that purpose and Bitonio was the most expensive one for whatever reason. I think I got him for like 140k ish and waited several days for one to pop up at that price. If he is needed for Team Diamonds his price will skyrocket.
