Why EA why?

I'm still trying to wrap my head around toty 97 tj watt and free season pass 97 tj watt are we gonna be able to use both like a bookend tj on both sides or is EA just stupid I bet we'll never get an explanation I'm real close to being done with madden forever or at least MuT and EAs billion dollar money making scam

The 96 Field Pass Watt was chosen by the EA Team weeks ago, long before the votes were finalized for TOTY.  Could one have guessed that TJ Watt would win the vote on that position?  Sure, it was the logical choice, but not a guarantee.  The 97 TOTY Watt looks clearly better stat wise with +3 speed, +10 Strength, and +1 or 2 on every other key attributed outside of Play Recognition which actually goes -3 but still at 90.  Abilities may actually be better on the Pass card iMO.

It’s better than the long periods of no recognition TJ Watt got before ZC and then till now. You either get no TJ or multiple I guess.

EA shouldn't have picked any players from the toty voting for the season 5 pass regardless

the choices mostly we're not bad but the damn abilities are some of the worse I've ever seen cards in my lifetime I'm sick of EA the moment we ban together in unison they continue to give us trash after trash.

It is like they are intentionally trying to screw us over and give us the same positions and same cards to keep us from being able to create a competitive complete theme team. Two recent releases, Washington & Watt. Both are repeats.

I was happy that we at least got a Washington card, but why Washington?

He didn't even do much this year. 7 Receptions for 61 yards and EA keeps giving him out.

There are so many other current players they could have chosen to give us. Just from this season, they could have given out Pickett, Rudolph, Harris, Warren, Pickens, Freiermuth, Heyward, Seumalo, Jones, Highsmith, Porter Jr., Fitzpatrick, Kazee, etc. not to mention the best stockpile of Legends!

What is wrong with EA? What do they have against the Steelers and their fans?

I think it’s due to TJ’s Pass Rush Win Rate.

I'm not defending EA by any means, but these season pass players, along with every promo player, are selected months in advance, prior to any TOTY voting. At least the TOTY Watt is significantly better, as the field pass one absolutely sucked in terms of abilities.

But do they pick Weekly Wildcards before the season is even played?

Do they take a guess that....Washington looks like he can dominate, so lets give him out as a Weekly Wildcard in season 5?

I don’t think you can use both lol. But it is dumb, same thing happened with Murray and I LOVE MURRAY but he doesn’t need two of the same card. It’s almost like no one in EA is communicating with each other and they’re each trying to fight each other by making different cards with even crazier abilities and chems

Obviously that program and Team of the Week can't be chosen ahead of time. Weekly Wildcards are basically theme team fillers - they select positions/players that fill major voids on theme teams, or for guys who haven't received upgrades in a long time (see ARod yesterday.) But major programs (Harvest, ZC, Sugar Rush, etc. get decided/planned months or weeks in advance.)
