It doesn’t make sense
Because his X-Factor with Persistent turns him into Madden 20 Eric Dickerson with air truck. Most people run 3 lineman/9 DB formations……

Ok , you've gotta stop comparing this card to that Dickerson card. It's not even close. Dickerson took every run to the house. Dillon breaks the first tackle but after that he's a normal power back. Unless you get lucky or play someone bad or someone who pass commits , you'd need 10+ runs to drive down the field with AJ, whereas every run with ED was a home run. That ED card is probably the most OP card in the history of Madden, that, Vick, Finneran, and a few others...I am talking since 1988. Quadfather is not in that class. Great card, great x factor, breaks the first tackle....but if you drop him for a loss 2x (and I've knocked many Quadfathers out of the zone already), he's an average power back.
Dickerson was a home run threat every down all game long
To respond to OP, yes...his x factor is always on unless he gets stopped for a loss 2x because of his X factor and the persistent ability. Normally 1 tackle for a loss would knock a card out of the zone.

thank god someone said it dickerson was way to op i have ptsd from that card
m20 dickerson at that time i just felt the game is unplayable.
Quadfather is just a fun card which is pretty good.
Not at the same level.

Bro. that card made madden so ridiculous. Everyone had him and just every other play was a 40-50 yard gain LOL. This Quadfather card is sort of OP but nowhere near that insane Dickerson card...some Dickerson 20 gameplay....don't get PTSD too badly LOL

They made him so op it was dumb it was like you were playing against bo jackson cj2k derick henry and beastmode all at once i broke a few controllers vs that card
As others have said, his Xfactor is what makes him so expensive and desirable. He's not nearly as OP as it sounds, but he's still the best pure RB in the game right now. Even if you're not a heavy runner, if you can afford him and have the 1 AP to spare for his Xfactor, he's an amazing decoy. I don't run the ball a ton but when I had Quadfather in the backfield, my opponent always had to account for him even though I probably only handed it off to him a handful of times since I primarily pass.
I got rid of him as I would rather have a top tier receiving back like Byars over Quadfather and I don't want to spend 500k on a backup HB no matter how good he is, but that's just my preference.

You could power cards up continually as they got more cards so he got up to a 99 with chems anyway. And yes, he was more than end game. Everyone used him
