Would you upgrade Thomas Davis Sr. (PUP) 91 for Derrick Brooks 93?

price difference doesnt matter

they basically have the same traits but Brooks man coverage is like 30 points higher lol

Davis has played very well for me.....

Pros and cons....

Brooks has the balanced LB style trait and balanced plays ball in air. Davis has Cover LB and plays ball in air Aggressive...so if you let the CPU control them Davis is going to go for the INT while Brooks won't. Davis has strips ball trait, Brooks doesn't.

Brooks is +1 speed but Davis is +6 COD. teir coverage stats are the same in zone but Brooks as you wrote hits the 90 threshhold in Man cvg.

If you user them, Brooks gets 0 AP lurker...that's big....Davis gets it for 1 AP

I have them both. Brooks only plays when I go 4-3 , Davis really doesn't get on the field because I use Micah in a 4-3. Davis did made a lot of plays for me though.

I think it boils down to your scheme. If you are going to let the CPU control your ROLB in coverage, and you are going to run man, Brooks will cover better but he will also go for the knockout or tackle and not the INT.  If you run zone and let the CPU control then I'd go with Davis

i have a 49ers theme team with 6 legends spots

since warner got the 90 ovr upgrade i play him as my zone drop lb with urlacher blitzing or man coverage out dime 2-3 will

if i put brooks in it would be him and urlacher

so what do you think?

So wait, is Brooks/Davis replacing Warner? Not sure I understand your post. What would your ROLB's role be ? And if you are running dime 2-3 will wouldn't you have 2 LBs max on the field?

yeah i just thought of that, but i play a fair amount of 2-4 nickel when i think run is coming or short passes so he would play all 3 would play there with sub lbs

in the 2-3 will i think i would go with urlacher and brooks instead of urlacher davis/warner

Just understand that Brooks is not going to be great at going for the INT and if you set coach adjustments to "plays ball" he may whiff on the ball and give up a catch.  Personally I think Brooks is better as a user than a CPU controlled card..

Whichever way you decide to go I hope it works out for you! :)

thanks, going to hang on to davis atm and see if any of the next harvest cards peak my interest
