So I set the playbook that I want to use (New England) but when I enter challenge/solo battle it gives me the playbook I started day 1 of mut with (Tampa Bay) is this happening to anyone else?

Try going into the settings from the main menu, set your favorite playbook to the one you want, so NE. I remember a couple years ago this fixed a similar issue, not sure if it still works.
