What should I do first

I'd start working on solo challenges. Maybe start with legends since you can get a 91 ovr that you can sell for a lot. All madden solos are probably worth doing as well. You probably want to upgrade your team a bit before playing h2h.

Some of the hispanic heritage players are decent for their ovr and are free. I still use foster as my hb. Some of the lower ovr versions of legends aka and all madden players are decent budget options at their positions.

Get the redux cards when you can, obviously research first, but these are some of the best cards from season 1 and are no going for a huge discount! Dave rob is the best budget lurk artist Lb you can get right now.

Welcome. First time Madden/MUT player? Just started a side account for my son last weekend, there's some fair to mid rewards from the various Solo Challenges. As others have stated, selling any and all cards you acquire for coins is THE way to go, especially the 16 Legends token set will get you a top tier player you can use to fund your squad building. Fantastic place to start. The weekly Angry Runs RB is also terrific and free, you'll be cooking in no time.

As always, coins are king. That should basically be the primary goal until at least March, heh. Abilities still run the game this year. Stats barely matter, although speed kills. Fast players are almost always going to be superior, at any position. Early on SPD is the primary stat to consider. Be sure to run the Gift Wrapped ability on any QB, until further notice. Without it, players drop tons of wide open passes. Pack odds and "value" is terrible, acquire what you need from the auction house. Be patient, 92 OVRs are coming soon, as part of Harvest promo.

First goal is to get a QB and put the Gunslinger ability + Gift Wrapped, I used Warren Moon 87 OVR Legends for a long time, very solid to the day. Linebackers are actually usable with the new LurkArtist ability, for a mere 1AP it's elite. Good luck, have fun.
