I run a Legends TT and got Lane just because he had edge threat and secure protector for 1 AP. Wondering if he is worth having over 98 Willie Anderson or should I sell him and get my coin?

There's no reason to run both edge protector and secure protector. Secure protector is a better version of edge protector. Since you're using a theme team, I'd take Willie and pocket the coin from selling Lane, and you'd still be able to run secure protector for 1 AP.
