The only way to increase your tier of boosts is by upgrading Hamilton/Goedert. The GG players in your lineup only receive the boosts, they do not contribute to the components needed to increase your tier of boosts.

^^^This is correct. 

Hamilton/Goedert only provide the boosts to other players, not themselves. You increase your boost level by upgrading Hamilton/Goedert, not by adding more players to your lineup.
