I know it is scheme/player dependent, but what positions do you think are most important to prioritize with AP? All of my DBs have Pick Artist at bare minimum (besides the two safeties I use at SubLB) with some having diff Zone KO. Running DON on both of my ends bc they each have it discounted for 1ap. LBs only using 0ap abilities if they have them and no abilities on either DT.
Have any of you had success using more AP on Dline/pass rushers as opposed to using majority on DBs?

Like you said depends on scheme.
I put most of mine on my Dline just because it puts constant pressure on their QB. They don’t have a lot of time to sit in the pocket and wait for guys to get open, which is huge. It also makes running the ball much harder. So it affects the entire game massively.
And then I have 2 AP Acrobat on my CB1 and CB2.
Force the QB into rushed throws, and let my corners pick them off.

someone with defensive rally which boosts the whole line, someone with inside stuff which will get the DT to break thru easily on run plays, and guys with Double or Nothing or Edge Threat which massively helps them get off blocks. those are the main ones

You still having success with using Edge Threat? Assumed that was rendered useless with everyone running edge protector

Edge threat is actually really good for when QBs leave the pocket, and outside runs. Whenever the QB leaves the pocket, they just break off instantly without getting hung up on the block. Even if they have EP.
other than that yeah, you can skip Edge Threat if you face a lot of EP. I never really care. How else would I get pressure

Seems like you got a lot of answers.
You either run db for knockout or rushes for shutting down time
I think prioritizing pass rush is the key. My entire team changed once i added DWare w/ DON, ET and ripper for 2 AP. I run cowboys tt zone scheme and have parsons ETE opposite side for 3 AP. Then i run lurker/PA on ALL my coverage guys . Also have deep zone KO for 1 on 2 outside deep corners. Defensive rally for 0 AP has been super clutch with Simmons.

With how good the secure/edge protectors are I went away from putting really any abilities on my Dline. Only AP I’m paying for is under pressure on Kearse. Everything other than that is players with 0ap abilities. For me my DBs having abilities is way more valuable. Pick artist where I can. acro on Bo, inside shade on cromartie, almost every CB gets a route KO ability ( I run mostly man). and deep out zone on my 2 up top safeties since I run 2 high safety man coverage.
I use 3 ap lurker on Julius peppers at my user, but other than that I use free abilities/ 1 ap Discounts which allows me to have almost every position with an ability on defense (I run a bears tt)
