Away for the holidays he flipped cards on the app for 3 weeks gets home he tells me he can’t get on to his account . I know him and he’s done nothing but the app to obtain coins. Is this a thing?

I've been playing Madden since 1993 and I would never ever use that app. Horror story after horror story since it came out of players getting banned and there's been alot of them claiming innocence. I would never use that app.

I've used the app since it came out in 19 and never had any issues. If you use it alot at once, it'll give you a captcha to solve, it's important to get it right. If he was buying cheaper cards for an inflated amount ( this was common when the elway set came out with a few golds), they may have flagged him for selling coins. EA is also incompetent, it could be a mistake all together.

It is safe to use the app. It’s not safe however, to demonstrate irregular auction house patterns that trigger bans. 🙄

I always imagine the people that get banned using the companion app either completed the captchas poorly or didn't do them at all.
Companion app is my main way of acquiring and selling cards (RIP listing multiple cards at once! OMFG if only they'd bring that back, I'd be on it even more!) and I've never caught a ban there. I complete all my captchas in a quick manner though.

Agreed... I've used the App for 4 years.. The only issue I ever had was when I didn't complete the Captchas.. I skipped them for a day.. I was banned for a couple of days because of this.. never skipped them again, and have never had an issue...
Just my story with the app.. Over the years, I would never be able to make the amount of coins I make just using the AH..

I'm not going to convince anyone to use anything on account of supposed safety...
But it's not going to stop me from speaking my truth when I state that I have been using the app for several years without any issues. And I'm sure I'm not the only one either.

I’ve completed the John Elway set three times using the companion app and I’ve never been banned.
I also complete the captchas every single time they appear.
Maybe I’ve gotten lucky so far, but I’ve bought thousands of cards using the app and no issues.

For this reason i'm afraid of using the app. Too many people saying they've been banned because of it. I'd like to hear their side about the captcha thing though .
Maybe i'll try at the end of the year when it matters less and see what happens.

I got a 24 hour ban on the app for selling too many of the same card at once (during blitz, I was buying Linderbaum for 70k and reselling for 94k) and I guess it flagged their system so it locked me out of the app for a day or two.
Seems like the app is fine to use as long as you don’t overdo it. If you buy/sell stuff on there, don’t do too much or it seems like the system will automatically flag your account even if you haven’t done anything wrong
