Why do I lose when my opponent disconnects in playoffs?

2 seasons in a row, ive made the playoffs but have been on the loading screen when going into the game for a coupoe minutes, and it gives me the loss. Why is this only happening in the playoffs? when this happens in the RS i get a dub.
