I've got a Bucs TT 50/50 and Donovan Smith gets edge protector when he gets 90 strength. I've got 91 but it still says i need to achieve 90 strength. Am i missing something?

The attribute has to be “stock” to meet the requirement, not counting theme team/strategy items boosts.
Since he has 89 strength, he’ll not get it.

You can’t.
He doesn’t get Edge Protector cause the base card has 89 strength.
Boosts on attributes doesn’t counts on requirements for abilities…
