I grabbed him and he is great so far but I plan sell him and to go back to Byars as soon as the inevitable AP increase / activation dilution comes in on the X-Factor + Persistent combo.
Would ideally like to sell him pre-nerf as his value figures to crater once that takes place. Do folks think it happens as soon as next week or do I have some time?
RG mentioned how good Quadfather was on the GMM stream this morning, but I didn't hear him mention anything about a possible nerf or that the they were even aware of complaints, so who knows if/when he'll get nerfed. I could see a potential nerf before the MCS Bowl starts (unless they ban him from the tournament) just because they're worried it could ruin the MCS games, but that's just an assumption.
Not knowing if he'll get nerfed is the only reason I'm waiting to pick him up. I have a great 1/2 punch with Byars and Dickerson, but really interested in him. Looks like I'll miss out on this one.
I thought persistent made it harder to knock a player out of the zone, but that AKA X factors have a set amount of plays they stay activated for which has nothing to do with getting knocked out of the zone?

No, the only way to deactivate the combo is two TFLs. It then reactivates after three or five plays. He doesn’t even have to touch the ball those plays.
It’s basically on the whole game.
It's tough to say how long it will take if they decide to nerf his ability/x-factor combo. They could leave it, but start releasing more players with 0-1 AP secure tackler, tackler supreme, enforcer, deflator, demoralizer, crusher, etc. instead.

I played against him. In weekend league. Didn’t think he was better then any other rb. Weird. Maybe cuz I only played one game against it, but didn’t seem like he was a glitch

The card IS kinda glitchy but I wouldn't be surprised if they took their sweet time to nerf it. Maybe they'll do as mentioned above and release players with free/discounted abilities that counter this (much like Edge protector with edge threat). Great way to get people to invest in more , newer cards.

I had both Dickerson and Byars but pulled the trigger on Quad. He is so much better than Dickerson. I think even without the ability he just seems quicker, like an elusive back, but he has the weight of a power back.

I was sceptical also, I have 40/40 legends and Quadfather is still great. Think of DIckerson from a couple MUT's ago but better. It is almost impossible to get Quadfather knocked out of the zone unless you run commit several plays in a row, which then opens up an easy passing touchdown over the top.

I doubt they'll "nerf" him but as better cards come out he will be worse and worse considered to the other cards.
