Please give me tips
1. Don't play like an idiot. Take your 3. Don't go for it every 4th down. Take a sack instead of throwing a pick.
2. Let people that play like that beat themselves.
3. Utilize adjustments. Play ball. Match zones.
4. If there's a scrambler qb put a spy.
5. Change up your play calls. Don't just spam 1 play that works cause good players will adjust and you have nothing to go to after.

This. Basically play smarter not harder

Great tips here, Ill add a couple.
6. Learn to read coverages and what types of route trees beat which coverages.
7. Pick a playbook and learn it. Make play calling easier and then opens you up to using more plays. (see rule 5)
8. Practice, practice, practice your User. I am a recovering Dline user but made the switch to MLB/ Safety a couple years ago. I got burned multiple times in the process, but when your user ability gets pretty good, it is much easier to get turnovers and win the game.
9. Dont turn the ball over. ( see rule one, dont play like an idiot). 95 percent of the games I win are because I won the turn over battle. Really good players can pretty much score at will, so you need to be able to match them score for score, but you cant do that if you turn the ball over. On the flip side if you can get your opponent to turn the ball over even once, it can totally flip the game around to your favor.

Rule 10: Don't run DB Fire 2 on base...
Rule 11: Corners are the best route in the game.
To add on to the great tips from Fn_Gidgitty and Mubby:
6.a) Watch Youtube videos on how to read coverages pre-snap and practice what you learn from in low risk modes (solos, solo battles, house rules). Once you have a good idea of what certain coverages look like pre-snap, you will need to learn how to read them post-snap. Good players will disguise coverages and blitzes to make different plays look similar pre-snap, so it is important to quickly read the defense after the snap. Zan had a good video from the beginning of Madden 23 explaining how different coverages look pre-snap.
10) Don't be afraid to run the ball and chew clock when you have a lead late in the game. This goes with Fn_Gidgitty's point #1 and Mubby's point #9. You don't need to force passing the ball late in games with the lead and allow your opponent to have a chance at a strip sack or interception. Running the ball, especially if you use the conservative carry coaching adjustment, has a much lower risk of a turnover.

This^. I take my three unless I need a TD and I never punt lol. Definitely take a sack over a pick but take an incompletion over a sack, learn to throw the ball away. As he said, utilize your adjustments, they are the most useful thing in the game. If you run a pass-heavy offense, I highly recommend HRM, it will open up infinite possibilities on your offense. Also, if you play on old gen, learn how to lead the receiver, if you play on new gen, learn how to use freeform passing. That’s all I got, good luck bro.

Very true on all accounts, great tips. It can be very discouraging without being able to read coverages presnap. You can tell easy if its 2 high or 3 high, but is it man? Is it zone? One thing to key on is to read where a slot corner is or if the adjust them. If you see a corner slide from the outside shoulder to inside, more than likely it's man. I tend to run a generic short pass or run out of a 3 wide formation just to see how the opponent adjusts or plays. Dont go for a big hitter right off the bat unless you know for sure you got it. If you do, then don't force it

One of the key things also is to know what to do if you diagnose man or zone. I don't usually care if people know I am in man for example, because my DBs are still lockdown. Inside shade, outside shade, man KO abilities, etc. I will run man press with Revis, Champ, and Haynes and even man up my safeties and SubLBs (Peppers is great in man against a HB).....Lott can cover a TE in man with inside shade and his boosted coverage...
So you have to learn how to beat man press against someone using cards and abilities/chems that fit that coverage. Same for zone. You have to know how to beat different zones.
Just diagnosing the coverage doesn't mean you can beat it...I'd say practice in practice mode against different defensive sets and figure out how to beat them.

Also, learn how to manage the clock properly. If you have the lead in the second half try to chew the clock, but if it’s a one score game and you know you can’t kill the whole clock, leave a few min so that you can get a drive after your opponent in case he scores. Don’t waste your timeouts, they could be the difference between a win and a loss.
I dont have a tip because I’m also struggling to get wins since it’s the first madden I’ve picked up in a few years. All I have to say is, seeing this from the community makes me happy after coming from the toxicity of the 2k and fifa communities and it makes me glad I picked madden back up.
Just run meta plays and nano blitzes will win you half of your games with no skill
