Why did EA remove PUPs?

they removed power up passes bc there were no power ups lol

Before the start of madden 23 the powers that be took it out the game.Ill bet they bring it back for m24.

In all honesty I prefer the no powerup system in alot of ways.

idk i don’t really notice a difference for better or for worse it was just fun being able to level up your players and make them better

A few reasons why they removed it.  Probably the biggest was time.  They are working on NCAA and working on power ups takes development time. Another reason was money.  Some people just leveled up players to right below the newest card level. Especially free to play. They wanted to force players to have to grab the newest card.  Investments. Is another reason. The Madden team hates investors. one more reason is they wanted to take away the +1s and make abilities the focal point.  I do miss Power ups as i liked investing in them and it would give me a reason to spend coin and training.  Then again,  not having them means I have more free time and spend less time in game.

Abilities are a lot better this year and if it’s helping ncaa im ok cuz im so hyped for that. It does just feel like this game can be a bit dry at times and grinding training for power ups took time but it still felt rewarding.
