I’m running a niners tt and i don’t know why but I feel like running a tt is one of the funnest parts of the game. EA did make tt worse from last year, but most of teams I play are tt.
I'm a Raiders fan so I've been lucky

I have ran a competitive lions TT since I started playing MUT but this year had been a struggle to play madden Champs so I switched to a eagles team (because of the competitiv pass) and now can battle a full legends team unlike before it sucks cause I always enjoyed beating the "good squads" with my lions team but this year its too hard
They killed the Lions, that’s for sure.
I think they are still decent and con be competitive if you know how to use them and maybe use some playing outside of the theme team while still keeping 50/50 chem. Because of the legends theme team they will never be the best team in the game anymore, like they used to be. They still are good if you are NMS because they players are cheaper ex: you can buy a 93 and have him play like a 95 instead of buying a 95 with no theme team. They are also fun because they give you a chance to use interesting players and make releases more exciting because you hope for players on your team.
I think that if they will update TT's throughout the PLAYOFFS, than they will be playoffs teams. By the end of the year, most TT's will be 97+ and competitive

I hear you, I run a tt to use my favorite players, so I'm more complaining about the lack of useable cards for said players. My team is a 95 ovr with cheats, but I'm using the gold strat card so I have 3 cheats on O, and then 6 on D. Last year basically the whole team was usable all year, only had a couple cheat to use some other players I like (Isaiah Simmons for example). I think its due to the way the O line plays this year vs last forces you to play top tier cards.

The few teams who are getting upgrades throughout the playoffs are already strong though. Eagles ,Chiefs and 9ers are the best besides legends.

Yeah, I only use one pats O lineman and 4 cheats because I need the edge protectors and post ups, and their o-line is still mostly 85s which is crazy. Doing a tt with no cheats just isn't ever going to be great, but this year its impossible

Jags TT is amazing, big dog all the way..
EA has killed football IQ and logic in madden
I have an interesting take on this. I feel like this is the dead spot for TTs right now, the legends TT is only better right now because there is still a gap to 99 Speed. When we start getting 96 or 97-speed players, they are endgame on a TT. The problem becomes when we get 98-speed legends that are maxed out with 3 discounted ability slots. Then the game is just all legend TT because you need 99 speed to compete.
Can’t go wrong with a cowboys tt
while yes I do agree that TT(theme teams) this year has had a drop off because ea refuses to upgrade current players and only gives legends new cards, I think that the larger problem for me is the lack of x2 and x3 team chem. from my count, no players in the game get x2 or x3 team chem which makes TTs so much harder to run. Last year ea went all in into T's. We got Team Diamonds one and two which gave x3 team chem, Team Captions which gave x3 chem, and Stocking Stuffers which gave x2 for some reason. That's also not to mention all of the NFL Draft players that we got last year that gave team chem up to x4. I think that ea saw how players were easily able to make 25/25/25 TTs and still have slots left for the best players at a given position, and decided that that was too overpowered and wanted to make TT more balanced by removing the 25-team chem speed boost and making it 40-team chem to get the boost(which doesn't really make sense if they think that they're op if because adding a legends tt defeats the whole purpose of running a TT)
Overall I just think that other than running legends, you can't really run any other TTs at 50/50 because the team chem just takes up too many spots. I hope that maybe ea will give us some x2 and x3 team chem players in the future or update the current players.
It is crazy because I was just talking to the fellas about this. Their choice to handcraft all the cards this year really shot them in the foot. Yes some of the ability discounts are nice but the fact that they have to decide who gets what takes time away from other things. If you aren't running legends you are out classed they have everything to stay competitive just costs too much.
