So is the only way to really be competitive to run heavy man blitz with shades and route kos ? Super annoying when your getting screamed at constantly but also every db is running routes for your recievers.

Not sure what you would define as competitive but I play only Zone Defense and my record in Champs is 10-2 right now. The last two times I played all 25 games in a week I had 20 wins and 22 wins.
I’ve won 10 Super Bowls in H2H seasons and win over 70% of my H2H seasons games. I don’t watch YouTube or MCS, I just play the game and try to learn from my mistakes. If I play against somebody really good I try to pay attention to what they’re doing and learn from it.
Reason: I had a typo, I meant 22 wins not 25.

I run zone too and am currently 15-3 in champions but I'll be damned zone is annoying when you get those people that run those weird corner routes that make the men in blue zones just stand and watch them as they get wide open and they easily score.
I can't find anything to stop these, I can set zone drops on purples to 30 yards but they still get wide open, cover 2 or 3 doesn't matter.
How do you stop those long corner routes?

I usually send a lot of pressure and user their primary target. By the time they look to their second read, my edge rushers are usually in the backfield.

Yeah I get burned by those sometimes too. Some of those routes have to be Usered to stop. Otherwise get a blitzing CB to the QB before he can get a good throw off.

Same here I labbed my own defense out of dime that gets crazy pressure but on the chance they get time to throw or are good enough to block my pressure those corner routes feast.
There has to be a way to adjust the coverage to stop them you would think.
They're so glitchy.

If I'm constantly getting beat by a route like that, I'll either user it or leave a deep half/outside third and man that receiver up so they're double covered.

Youre asking way too much for normies who only half ass run youtube plays

I hate those videos. Way too sweaty and meta. I just like doing my own thing and seeing if it works... which it apparently has so I'm having fun with that.
TDBarrett is about the only Youtuber I'll watch who actually runs pro plays, and he barely ever uploads MUT videos.

Lol, I’m not asking for anything.
I’m damn near 40 and I’ve learned most things in life the hard way. MUT is no exception, I remember starting out usering the D-line which I was very good at but that doesn’t work too well in H2H so you have to be willing to learn and adapt.
These kids think if they watch a few YouTube videos and make all these adjustments they’re gonna get automatic wins and sit in their throne at the top of MUT Champs/Seasons. The problem is there are a lot of people out there that have been playing this game for a long time and played through tons of games. We have seen these adjustments before and we have figured out ways to get wins in tough games.
My advice, lose a bunch of games doing two things:
1. Watch and learn from your opponents.
2. Use coach suggestions and find a few plays that work against certain looks.
If you sit in the exact same zone coverage all game it makes it very easy for someone to play offense against you.

Do you find that If the opponent has 2 Edge pro or Secure pro you have to blitz to get quick pressure ?

Yes. You have to send extra players. 3 or 4 rushers will not do the trick.
My favorite blitzes are Mid Blitz and Engage Eight (Engage Eight is really risky because it almost always leaves two or more receivers open, but if you user well then your opponent may stall just enough for the blitzers to get there)
Anyone care to share how you beat really tough man blitz? Even with short out elites it's a no go. 3 yard completion or get absolutely blasted by 8 blitzers.

I don't use any specific man beaters, just quick reads and short, easy routes. Slants and zigs are great for me.
On offense I love playing against man defense. Slants, short outs, posts, corner routes. I always have someone on a zig route. You might have to keep your HB in help block but usaully if they are sending a bunch of blitzers your HB will be open on a swing, flat or quick wheel route. Depending on who they user you can also take shots deep. If nothing else, come out in an iform set and run the ball. Most of the meta blitzs are out of nickle, dime and dollar so just weak box them. HB screens are not as good this year but you can throw in one or two just to keep your opponent guessing.
On defense, mix up your play call. The meta is still man blitz 0 but If you are trying to man 0 blitz every play it is so easy to beat. Diguse your coverages. Make your cover 3 look like a cover two. Make your man blitz look like a man 0 but really it is man cover 2. Drop linemen into coverage. Run a zone defense but man up just one WR. At this point in the game most people have their go to beaters for specific coverages. So just keep them guessing as to which coverage.
Im not going ot get into an argument about streamers and youtubers but they can be a valuable source. Some will teach reading defenses and schemes to beat certain coverages. You can learn a lot from watching others gameplay without copying their cheese. Then you can come up with your own scheme and money plays.
