Ooh. I looked up your play on Huddle.GG and that's an excellent play, even base. That can beat almost any coverage imo.

My jam is Gun Tight Offset Tight - PA Shot Seams, Kill the PA, drop X on a corner and leave it or I mix in some other hot routes. Prime read is the tight end, gets open almost every time just in different spots based on coverage. Then it opens up for Saints Spot Shake or Saints in. Couple other plays in that formation kill as well.

Gun Split close HB wheel with HRM on my QB.

I can hot route so many ways from this, keep a HB or FB in to block (or both) run that stock post with a drag and corner , motion out one of the HB's in the backfield....or run right or left. Incredibly versatile play

Yeah the best bet against that play is man but you have to watch the drag-like route from the left wide receiver position if that receiver has SIE you need a defender with a man ability to stay with that. The flood concept on the right would beat a lot of zones but I run man DBs and even SubLBs with inside shade/outside shade, etc

Also with a good receiving HB you can hot route that to be a tough one to stop, maybe a texas route , that would be tough to stop with a subLB

Against a good opponent you'd have to make a quick read , which I am sure you do, because not a lot of blockers and the pressure would get there fast with a good pass rush

I don't use that one (PA Shot Seams) as much as I feel like I should, but it's usually gone pretty well whenever I've used it with a different setup. I'll have to give that one a shot. I like Saints In as well.

Both my WR1 and WR2 have Short In Elite, and I always make sure it's one of them on that route. I'm usually looking for him or the HB, who I tend to put on an out route left by default. I haven't thought about putting him on a Texas route, I'll have to give that a shot. As far as the flood on the right, I like to run the play a couple times before I try throwing it that way, and yeah, what abilities the players defending them have definitely tends to make or break each attempt. I've found that putting the TE on a corner route catches people off guard fairly frequently.

Regarding the necessary quickness, like I said, I'm usually looking for the WR on the drag or the HB on an out route left, but yeah, if I'm facing someone who likes to blitz early and often, or even just has really good players on the defensive line (especially with certain abilities) I'll use this play less frequently than I usually do. I do have what I consider a good offensive line, with Edge Protector on both of my tackles and Secure Protector on my Center, which certainly helps.
