I've been learning from everyone here and I played a seasons game and won! I mostly ran with Quadfather and Henry and passed sparingly because I'm awful at it. I tried to stay out of 2nd and 3rd and long.
I do notice that I suck at passing on offense and on defense I get beat a lot on verticals, any idea how I can get better there?

Congrats first of! big deal fs. now on stopping verticials. You can either run man and cover underneath for the rb or 3-3 cover 4 works great. i would recommend trying multiple defense. great playbook and hard to stop. use dollar or nickel 3-3

I tried the man coverage and it helped.
I've switched from a Cowboys theme to a Eagles theme to help me on defense.
I'm not good enough where I can overcome lower rated players.

I switched to an Eagles team overnight so I'll have a better line up front and better role players overall.
Great job! I'd pick up Red Tornado if you have the coins, heard that if you pair him with a bunch of guards on the O-line his motivator boosts are nasty
Congrats on the W. Cover 4 usually bags verts. If you are just playing cover 3 you are going to get toasted by the seam route. I also like to throw in a cover 2 man. Many opponents will see the man press coverage and think it is cover 1 or cover 0 and then throw it right into the hands of my deep safties.
In terms of offense, keep doing what you are doing. H2h is won or lost in the turn over department. On games I dont turn it over, I win atleast 90 percent of the time. However, at some point you will need to start passing especailly if you get down a score late in the game. Watch some youtubes about reading defenses, those helped me considerably.

That's a very good idea. Sometimes I see my opponent run plays that I run and I can figure them out. Watching some on YouTube would help I bet. You're right.
