I’ve tried them all, I feel like the deep knockouts are the only ones that consistently work (usually against me).
I have 4 on the corners and safeties and mids on sub lbs where I can.
This is who I got now .
BoJack 1Mid 1DeepIn Ko
Isaiah Simmons 1Mid 1DOKO
Derwin 1DOKO
Rayshawn Jenkins 1 Mid
Marcus Williams 1FLAT 1DOKO
Deion 2DOKO
Darious Williams 1FLAT 1DOKO
ED Reed 1ap Acrobat
I've wondered this for a while, would appreciate some advice.
What kind of knockout should be used on a sub-lb user (strong safety) who liines up like a MLB, whose play art (by default) is rushing the passer, and who usually drops back into coverage to double team or pick up a loose receiver.
Would that be a candidate for a zone KO or a man KO?
Thank you in advance!

You would want Mid Zone KO on a SubLb, if they play in a deep middle zone then you would want Deep In Zone KO as well.
i feel like the ideal set up should be this
2 corners and 2 safeties running deep out and flat zone KO
the two safeties run deep in ko just in case
if you user linebackers: obviously free lurker, pick artist mid zone and whatever you desire
depending on what mode you play:
squads: pick artist and whatever ablity maybe a KO or crusher or enforcer on what ever you might want on your slot corner
H2H: deep out or flat zone KO
why i say this is because not a lot of people have pass plays in the intermediate area that goes immediately in the middle which is obviously the most congested part of the field every play that i've seen is kinda basically a corner, drag or a deep shot down the field.
So basically, i usually switch between a cover 2 and 3, and between nickel and dime formations. I have deep out zone and pick artist on my two outside corners, and pick artist on both my slots (only 1 slot is used in nickel, 2 in dime). As for safeties, I like them both to have deep in and deep out so they can be valuable in cover 2 and 3 (cover two has 2 safeties up top, cover 3 has 1 free safety and 2 deep corners). I have mid zone on my Ted Hendricks who plays sub linebacker because it is discounted, and just pick artist on my Sean Taylor who plays the other sub linebacker (because its free). This makes it so when my free and strong safeties are up top on the outside in cover 2, they both get outside knockouts, and when my two outside corners are up top along with my free safety, the corners both get deep out and the free gets deep in (also good to have deep in on my strong, Prez, because he gets put in the deep in, instead of Ed Reed, sometimes so its good that he can function when EA puts him there). Sean taylor starts at sub linebacker, so when i play dime, he is the only linebacker out there, and Calvin Johnston goes out there as the extra corner (slot), but when I play nickel, i only have one slot corner (Isaiah Rodgers) and Ted Hendricks goes out there instead, so when that happens, its good that he has mid-zone KO.

Thank you for this response. I guess the last question is this, and I should have included this detail earlier:
I usually run a cover 2 man defense, and sometimes cover 1 man press or robber, but the point is:
** all of my cornerbacks have man KO's (either deep or mid route)
** my free and strong safety both run deep out zone KO at the top of the formation.
So my question becomes:
Does my User Sub-LB require a man KO or a zone KO given that he is playing in a man defense scheme but is assigned to no specific receiver?
Sorry for the confusing question, but I can't find the answer online.
Thank you!

Well I just read your original question again and I believe I wasn’t as focused when I read it earlier.
If you are specifically asking about a SubLb User that is set to blitz then they should never be able to activate any type of KO. The blitz takes away any type of zone or man assignment. The best ability for your user would be Pick Artist and/or Acrobat.

Ok that makes sense and I very much appreciate the advice and attention to my question.
Looks like I can free up 1-2 points I have been wasting and put them to actual use, which will be great 👍
Two deep out kos, two flat kos, one deep mid ko. Then run a bunch of cover two

To add onto what he said, if you’re just free roaming off a blitz no knockouts will work but if you plan on helping guard a route that’s beating you, put a mid/deep route KO on him and man him up to whatever reciever and you can knockout as user but it’s got to be the reciever you man up.
