I like to mix up man and zone and tend to stay in 3-3 cub, any suggestions? I either play really good or get shredded no in between.
I'm the wrong person to ask, basically a neophyte and find myself getting beat over the top more often than i care to admit, but i'm almost exclusively running 3-2 Dollar Man to Man Press / blitz formations, all my DBs have 99 Man coverage stat and should be able to keep up, as the "worst" corner has 96 Speed, but even when my guys are stride for stride, i'm getting beat by these ridiculous Hail Mary style prayer shots.
Been focused on finding the Offensive Playbook i prefer, will have to take a second look at the options on Defense, as well. Good luck, let us know how you make out!
Anyone can help with what abilities to run on a man blitz defensive scheme?

if your opponent has short out elite on an outside receiver and your press you instantly get burned, and C routes (outside corner routes) also cook man.

with zone most good players will drive the ball on you, and you'll have to rely on lucky turnovers or holding them to 3. Man defenses typically give up more big plays but also get more turnovers.

Thank you, this is a really concise summary of defense options, you have no idea how helpful your comments have been -- in the past i had been sort of running a mix, with my DBs having a variety of man and zone abilities, basically whatever i could assign to them for 1AP, but that felt a bit disorganized and unfocused, so i went nuts doing whatever i could to focus on getting MCV and PRS stats at (or as close to, as feasible) 99 rating on my corners and safeties.
It's mostly dudes throwing prayers over the top, or the deep corner routes that even 2-3 defenders running stride for stride cannot seem to stop, unless my team is wildly overpowered versus whatever opponent. Thanks for the pro-tips, NickSix. Great name, btw.

What's your team composition? I'm running almost exclusively 3-2 Dollar Man to Man Press, but recently i've sunk a LOT of Ability Points into my D-line (ETE & Double or Nothin go on both D-ends) which is unusual. Prior to that i've put almost 100% of my AP into the DBs, figuring any decent opponent would neutralize my pass rush.
That has not really been the case, it's incredible how many folks fail to run some combination of Edge Protector or Secure Protector on their Tackles. I have Bosa and Charles Haley blowing by opponents' O-line(s) and getting to the QB with barely a finger on them. To the point where i just start to feel bad for opponents -- this is basically what happens on most passing downs withOUT Edge Protector.
The most reliable ability, IMO Pick Artist is a MUST have, especially for your taller outside corners (it's still helpful on Slot CBs, but less imperative) -- most decent DBs these days will get this for reduced cost, i've probably got 6 out of 7 of my defensive backs running 0AP Pick Artist, it's become quite common. Beyond that, the X-factor ability that looks liek a WiFi logo (Universal Coverage) is always applied and active to my top DBs, two outside corners and a single high Safety (Ronnie Lott).
Please start by checking this list, if you're seeing it in the Elite Tier abilities list, it's probably worth investing in, especially if you get discounted access to any of these: https://www.mut.gg/abilities/
