Theme Team vs. No Theme Team

Is a theme team an absolute must-have at this point in the year?

Idk. I just started playing this years title but to me it seems easier than ever to boost since we got strategy cards. I used to run full themes in previous years but I have a 25 dallas lineup rn and it plays great. Allows me to have some of my other favorite players in there too

No...nothing is "absolute". I do not run a TT at all and my team is doing just fine (biggest issue my team has is the user...it darn sure ain't the cards). I have used TT and find they put me in a box with players and promo participation. I decided this year to play the whole game, so no TT allows me to upgrade every promo if I desire.

Of course, not. It's just a fun and unique feature that other sports games don't offer. In NBA 2K, for instance, there's no theme teams, no chemistry, no nothing except for dynamic duos, but 99% of the time they're trash; so building the squad there is pretty dull. In FIFA it's more amusing, but still no theme teams. So I kinda like this feature for its uniqueness, not because it's OP. Also it helps to save coin - older cards can stay relevant longer and you have fewer holes in your lineup to fill.

TT just helps you hit 99 speed faster but you have way more room/fun to fill a team however you want if you go non TT and youre gonna start seeing end game players here soon enough.
