They really stack? So if your opponent is running an Edge Protector, that would hard counter Edge Threat, but not Edge Threat Elite on the same player? So you’d get insta-sheds pretty much every down then?
I haven't heard that before. The only difference between ET and ET Elite should be ET Elite is a combination of ET and under pressure.

Was talking to a guy on another thread and he said not long ago, people ran both with other abilities like Unpredictable and BOGO cause it would get insta-sheds. I imagine people don’t do it now to disperse AP evenly, but if you’re getting quick pressure every time, it might be worth it. Just figured I’d post a thread first and see if anyone knew before I tested it myself.

I've never heard someone use that stack before or that it works the way you explained it to counter EP. The main stack I and most people that run D-line abilities use is ET or ET elite with double or nothing. Maybe I'm wrong and just haven't heard of this working before, but I have a feeling the person you were talking to misspoke about the ability combination they were using.
A few madden ago Gunslinger used to stack creating crazy fast passes, but as far as I know EA addressed stacking abilities due to that.
Honestly... the only abilities anyone should run on their ends are the aka xfactors. They have more success against secure and edge protector.
We're talking 4 man fronts. Dollar/335 normal is different, both ends could be doubled
D/O & B.O.GO combo and ET/ETE may have some success early game but once those linemen get resistance built up, the pass rush will die out. That's why it's important to rotate those on the line. But that is valuable resources on ether extra ap or valuable back ups with good free abilities.

Well I just assumed that’s how it would work if you ran both. Cause Edge Protector hard counters Edge Threat so I figured if you run both, then the two abilities get cancelled out. I ran into a guy that had abilities on only Gravedigger (not even free abilities on his other pass rushers), and put him at RE and he was in the backfield every single drop back. Every. Single. Time. Ended up getting like 4 sacks on me. So he replied and said that could be what he was running. And if it was, then that’s probably worth the 5 AP. 🤷🏽♂️

I pretty much follow this thought process for my team as well.
Yeah not how that works. That’s like having tip drill and pick artist or edge prot and sec prot

That's when I sub in Mad Maxx with the Blitz AKA factor and wipes out all resistance bars :)
Instantly sets all O lineman resistance bars to zero. Worth it to use 1 AP on a player I will sub in from time to time
