Just did 100 stats and no Strat card’s
I'm rocking with the King, and he gets short in elite and bruiser, so even if his ability turns off, he's still a handful to deal with.
Martyr1968 said:Yeah but you just have to watch out for him getting deactivated I guess
Did you try Gus yet with FT, Bruiser, Backfield mismatch all for 1 AP? Give him a shot and.see what u think .... you might change your mind.
I just ran a game with him and Gus is insane. Much smoother than Quad and a much better receiver w backfield mismatch
I grabbed Gus overnight and only had a few minutes to run some plays in practice. I'm spending the day with my cat and wanted to make sure I grabbed him when he was low in price.
He feels more like Henry but smoother at first look. He's not as smooth as Jacobs but that's also having to get used to a bigger back.
The real question is who do I pair him with? I'll make a post about it.
I appreciate your input.

sorry im new to mut.gg but if you don't mind could you give me recommendations

You should’ve gotten it for free, it’s from the free agency welcome pack

Gus is now.better then Henry in basically every way so give him a try
Martyr1968 said:He shuts off if you tackle him for a loss though....and with secure tacklers readily available it's not that hard to do anymore.
Gus is significantly better with regard to speed, accel, all the rushing attributes that count....so he would be tougher to bring down behind the line. So assuming he deactivates after 5 and reacitvates after 3 , and assuming Quad will be tackled for a loss by your opponent (with secure tacklers everywhere), that would make Gus better.
Unless of course you don't take a TFL with Quad, but that's happening more and more lately.
So Quad's ability is better but I am not so sure he's still the best HB option
yes gus the bus sucks i like quadfather better and he is better
Jaysonguy said:No offense to Henry...
Quadfather is still the only back who doesn't shut off. Add in the fact that with the newest strat item and Sprinter he's 96 speed and 95 acceleration.
I have Quadfather and Henry and I'm getting Gus but unless there's one Golden Ticket that makes Gus not shut off, Quadfather will end Madden 23 as the best running back.
sorry but i shut quadfather in 2 plays off with persistant
much better with gus beacause speed in key and evrythings pretty much better exept whight
danyal fellele plays much better than him if you consirned with how heavy your rb is (hes now my fulback insane blocking for gus.)

Was that really your first post on MUT.gg?. Um... how old are you?. This honestly looks like one of my kids could have written it when they were 7 or 8. There's no substance to it, no reasoning. No one.ia going to give it a second look or even think about it when evaluating Gus vs Quad.
Next time maybe try to add some reasons/facts, etc as to WHY "Gus sucks" and u "like quadfather".

Faalele was a fun option when I got him but not RB#1 material for me. His abilities are not great and costly.
His COD is very low for a top end running back.
As far as blocking. Just use Gronk with Vanguard at TE much more effective than Faalele that way

I have more problems against qaud then gus

And how do you go about stopping HBs like Quad/Gus? Gus has not been out long, maybe you haven't played someone who uses Gus properly. Everyone is stopping Quad these days but Gus is insane to tackle
Jaysonguy said:I dropped to 90% this weekend because I did an experiment with Jacob's seeing if faster would change anything.
I have found that for random running plays Jacobs did well. I don't know who was ever going East and West with Quadfather but with Jabobs you can.
When it came to the plays that always get yards Jacobs did well but didn't break through piles to get extra yards like Quadfather as often.
I know the argument is secure tackler but with the glut of WR's and Slinger 3's lately who is wasting AP points or free abilities on something that's not pass rush?
With more people using linebackers over SubLB's their free abilities are going to lurker and pick artist.
I use every top tier RB that comes out. I really liked Jacobs and thought he's better than Pollard. If Gus can run like Jacobs then that's terrific. If he runs like Bo? Bah.
My big thing is that when I use plays that are sure to get me yards I'd rather have a lit up Quadfather than unlit anyone else.
I do agree with the fact that Quadfather will break through more piles than Jacobs will as he is bigger and gets the x-factor. But you can't base everything on that. Jacobs is useful in the same situations as Quadfather and more (like the passing game) while Quadfather is useless in the receiving game as he is slow and has bad catching stats. Jacobs gets free receiving abilities and is faster. And when you run to the outside with Quadfather can't really go anywhere as like other people have said his stats are getting outdated. Players are coming out that get abilities to counter him like Patrick Willis. He gets lurker and enforcer for free along with avalanche for 1. And the new Ryan Neal gets crusher, pick artist and enforcer for 1 along with a bunch of players that secure tackler or for 1 or free.
While Quadfather is still usable in some situations there are simply better running backs out there. Like Gus, even though his x-factor only lasts 5 plays before it has to recharge he gets 99 speed without a theme team, (the free agency strat card) is usable in the passing game, and gets better abilities.

Nickle normal, flood the gaps if he spams, 3-3 cub works best but if the guy sucks then 4-6 nvr fails, spread line crash in and cover a or b gap unless he hits sidelines, I said all that to say qaud still fcks me up but gus hasn't done nothing yet tho.
