Before I say anything let me say first that there are plenty of great receivers in mut, but theres two stats that matter most this time of the year. Height only matters if your a toss up and hope player. If you’re looking to get receivers in open field for much easier passes these are the stats to look at.
1 acceleration.. it matters more than speed. Why do you think dalton shultz is 99 at tight end with 96 speed and 99 accel. Why does he get open easier than jamar chase? Well two reasons acceleration and my second point.
2 release.. the hidden that they don’t show on madden, but only shows up on mut.gg the release is going to play a huge part in getting separation. Again (and not to dog on jamar) but his release is 94. I’m not saying he won’t get open, but there are many receivers in the game with 97 or 98 release and will get off the line much faster.
There Is only one Strat card in the game that boosts a players release. It’s “over the top” I’m not telling you to use it, but am saying I personally use it. With that card there are only a few players that achieve 99 accel and 99 release.
The most obvious are Randy moss, and Odell. They gave 98 release to Jerry and Herman, but they dumbed down the accel. This is why these aren’t end game cards. They’re good, but not great.
