Why I sold my entire team

Yesterday I sold my entire team except bnds. I did have to pick up Flacco as a no risk qb for challenges. If your like me and play entirely too much. There is nothing left to do that requires a good team besides head to head. I’m getting back into regular work, and won’t be playing as much as I typically do.. so why hold on to my team?

I honestly felt like my team was perfect. if I played well I could win any game I was put into.. so why sell? Easter. It’s Christmas 2.0.. it’s going to flood the market with top cards and crash all your prized possessions. The overall will go up, and everything you worked for and paid for will be diminished to scraps. 

Is it too late to sell? maybe now that team diamonds are a thing, but ask yourself this.. is it worth it? Look at what you have left to achieve verse how many coins you will lose. Maybe it is worth it. Maybe you play h2h everyday so it’s not, and that’s fair. In the event you might be lacking time, and your team is worth a lot.. I’d give selling some thought.

As a side not slinger 1 is hot garbage. Even for challenges the deep ball makes me want to throw up. I’m running gunslinger and set feet on Flacco, and it’s embarrassing.

Isn’t the whole point of coins to use players you want? The game has like 2 months of life left and you’re worrying about losing coins holding on to players? Every Easter and Christmas people sell off their teams thinking they’re so smart and then most of the cards people actually want on their team never go down in price.

With how fast players generally depreciate in value, if you're taking any meaningful break, it's almost always best to sell off your team. It just makes sense.

If we don’t have egg rerolls, I honestly doubt the market crashes as much as you expect. Not many people have many eggs, because they’re so expensive

I agree. An egg roll announcement would likely cause the market to rise a little, so if I were the OP I would have waited until next week to see if we get one. If we don’t, you’re absolutely right, there won’t be an Easter morning market crash because there will be a lot less eggs to open.

Last year around this time I held onto my team.. Marvin Harrison and Isaac Bruce were 800k when I had them.. a week or so later they were 300k. I just banked 15 million coins with 1.2 mill training and my team is a 96. I can still do challenges and daily’s if I have time, and don’t have to worry about my coins. In the mind of EA a million coins is basically $100.  No matter what training value changes to.. coins always remain the same.

I haven’t used slinger 1 since Matty ice and Lamar dropped.. unfortunately I didn’t play madden this year till after Casper came out so I didn’t get stabler. I hate lefties, but atleast I wouldn’t be using Flacco lol. April in landscape season is crazy. Between doing quotes, typing estimates, scheduling, and doing the work. I usually play a lot less during the season. I look forward to buying Randy moss back for 300k in a few weeks.

This year especially.. has Been nearly impossible. once a player in the a top position releases.. it’s like no one before ever mattered.

For whatever reason, Joe Flacco's release felt terrible when I used him. I'm now using Vick, who has Slinger 1 as well but feels so much better. Sometimes players are just programmed differently. Vick is great. Flacco, to use your words, was "hot garbage"

Yeah thats exactly why I mostly use a BND/LTD team.

Ability discounts and cost are the biggest hitters but meta is meta.
